This paper deals with the boundary layer flow of electrically conducting dusty fluid over a stretching surface in the presence of applied magnetic field. The governing partial differential equations of the problem are transformed to nonlinear nondimensional coupled ordinary differential equations using suitable similarity transformations. The problem is now fully specified in terms of characterizing parameters known as fluid particle interaction parameter, magnetic field parameter, and mass concentration of dust particles. An exact analytical solution of the resulting boundary value problem is presented that works for all values of the characterizing parameters. The effects of these parameters on the velocity field and the skin friction coefficient are presented graphically and in the tabular form, respectively. We emphasize that an approximate numerical solution of this problem was available in the literature but no analytical solution was presented before this study.

The effect of thermal radiation on steady natural convection boundary layer flow over a plate with variable viscosity and magnetic field has been studied in this paper. The effect of suction and injection is also considered in the investigation. The system of partial differential equations governing the nonsimilar flow has been solved numerically using implicit finite difference scheme along with a quasilinearization technique. The thermal radiation has significant effect on heat transfer coefficient and thermal transport in presence of viscosity variation parameter and magnetic field in case of suction and injection.

A comprehensive numerical study is conducted to investigate effect of nonlinear thermal radiation on MHD boundary layer flow and melting heat transfer of micro polar fluid over a stretching surface with fluid particles suspension. Using suitable transformations, the governing equations of the problem are transformed in to a set of coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations and then they are solved numerically using the Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg-45 method with the help of shooting technique. Authentication of the current method is proved by having compared with established results with limiting solution. The impact of the various stimulating parameters on the flow and heat transfer is analyzed and deliberated through plotted graphs in detail. We found that the velocity, angular velocity and temperature fields increase with an increase in the melting process of the stretching sheet. Also it is visualize that the shear stress factor is lower for micro polar fluids as compared to Newtonian fluids, which may be beneficial in flow and heat control of polymeric processing.
