A short review of our recent work on amplitude parametrizations of three-body hadronic weak B and D decays is presented. The final states are here composed of three light mesons, namely the various charge πππ, Kππ and KK$ \bar K $ states. These parametrizations are derived from previous calculations based on a quasi-two-body factorization approach where the two-body hadronic final state interactions are fully taken into account in terms of unitary S- and P-wave ππ, πK and K$ \bar K $ form factors. They are an alternative to the isobar-model description and can be useful in the interpretation of CP asymmetries.

We investigate hadron formation in high energy electroproduction off complex nuclei in the framework of a BUU transport model. Our approach combines a quantum mechanical treatment of the photon's initial state interactions with a semi-classical coupled channel simulation of the (pre)hadronic final-state interactions (FSI). This allows us to study the hadron attenuation observed at HERMES and to get information on the space-time picture of hadron formation separately for π±, π0, K±, p and [Formula: see text].

The first search at a hadron collider for the production of excited and exotic electrons in association with a positron is presented. The excited electron decays to an electron and a photon with high transverse momentum yielding an electron+positron+photon final state signature. The search uses 202 pb-1 of data collected in [Formula: see text] collisions at [Formula: see text] with the CDF II detector during 2001-2003. No excess of dielectron+photon events is observed. We present the e* sensitivity in the parameter space of the excited electron mass and the compositeness energy scale for both a gauge mediated and contact interaction model.
