Development and operation of modern power supply systems of consumers which are the part of distributed generation (DG) systems with their communication with electric power system (EPS) and renewable energy sources (RES) demand changes in estimation of their reliability indicators on the basis of corresponding mathematical apparatus. It is shown that DG systems refer to structures with several overlapping zones of action, which determines their peculiarities, which are represented by some integral characteristic - efficiency of operation, which characterizes the degree of expediency of use of the DG system in different modes. The approach based on evaluation of effectiveness of such systems is offered. Examples of calculation of relatively simple structures of DG systems performing several tasks simultaneously are given.

The power supply for the video-spectrometric complex (VSC) "Fregat" is being considered. This secondary power supply systems have the following functions: Reception and switching of the voltages; Protection from overload and short circuit in the internal circuits and the exit circuits; Transformation of primary voltage in stabilized secondary voltages; Galvanically untethered secondary circuits by primary and Hull; Protection of the users from the electromagnetic noises; Provision of "Cold" and "Hot" reserve, etc. A set of technical documentation and test-measuring equipment for testing were created. Four sets of Secondary Power Systems for "Fregat" are designed and implemented for two flights to planet Mars.

The active filtration theory of multiphase power supply systems aimed at minimizing the power losses in the transmission line has been further developed. New relations are substantiated, and a new physical content is given for the instantaneous active current and the instantaneous apparent power, which take into account the dependence of the transmission line resistance ratio and correspond to similar integrated values of the periodic mode of a multiphase power supply system. It is shown that the instantaneous and integral values of the minimum possible losses are proportional to the square of the load power and inversely proportional to the short-circuit power. These values can be used to determine the power factors of a given load and gain coefficients for power losses. The calculated ratios for the gain coefficients for the instantaneous and integral power losses when using a shunt active filter with control strategies that form in the transmission line vectors of the active current according to the proposed formulas were obtained. The results of computer simulation confirmed the adequacy of all modified relations for the basic concepts of the active filtration theory of multiphase power supply systems and the advantages of the proposed active filtration strategies.

The influence of sources of reactive power on the quality of electricity on the tires of non-traction consumers who receive power from the two-wire-rail line in the event of a short circuit in the contact network is studied. The results show that the use of sources of reactive power contributes to the maintenance of voltage on the substation tires, significantly reducing the coefficient of asymmetry in the reverse sequence.
