A comparative analysis of the basic physical and chemical properties of non stabilized polyalkyleneterephthalates and their compositions with polymers containing oximates groups is submitted. It is shown that the use of new polyformaloximates (PFO) and polyarylateoximates (PAO) as modifying additives allows improving the operational properties and technical characteristics of polyalkylenetherephthalate compositions.

Magonia pubescens is a tree species originally from the Brazilian Cerrado that bears fruit with winged seeds from which fixed oil can be extracted. This study aimed to analyze the physical and chemical properties of the oil extracted from these seeds and the biodiesel produced thereof. Methods from the Adolfo Lutz Institute, American Oil Chemists Society, and American Society for Testing and Materials were used. Seven fatty acids (oleic, arachidic, gadoleic, palmitic, palmitoleic, linoleic, and stearic acids) were found in the oil. Acidity level (1.119 mg KOH·g-1), iodine value (77.36 cg I2·g-1), saponification value (133.36 mg KOH·g-1), density (0.8796 g·cm-3), and refractive index (1.3348nD) were low when compared to the high peroxide value (26.14 meq·kg-1), viscosity (101.46 mm²·s-¹), and moisture (0.88%) of other oils and fats used for biodiesel production. Biodiesel showed density (0.8484 g·cm-3), viscosity (29.62 mm-2·s-1), acidity level (0.752 mg KOH·g-1), and saponification value (148.89 mg KOH·g-1).

This article highlights the common use of petrographic processes in basalt processing. At present, basalt is being processed by liquefaction only. Heat fibers, tiles, cement, fittings, and nets are taken from the basalt. For this reason this article states that the range of products to be purchased is small. And to increase the assortment, it is proved by the fact that basalt basin should not be confined to liquefied processing. Chemical composition of basalt. Depending on the chemical composition of the basalt, the technology of their processing is selected and determined. The article is based on the same principle that the dry method of drying basalt without liquefaction is put forward. Below are the names of products that can be obtained on dry bases processing. This is justified by the fact that it increases the range of basalt products. However, it is advisable to follow two methods of basalt processing in the future. These methods, which are recommended by the authors, have undergone a production trial and received positive assessments; the test report has also been presented.

There are pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, clinical aspects of the use of bismuth tripotassium dicitrate and comparative analysis of the physicochemical and structural properties of tableted forms of preparations containing bismuth tripotassium dicitrate - the original drug De-Nol® (Astellas) and the generic drug Ulcavis® (KRKA) in the article. Demonstrated similar physical and chemical properties, the similarity of the disintegration rate of the two tablets of bismuth tripotassium dicitrate suggests a similar clinical effectiveness of the reproduced and reference drug.

In connection with the spectrophotometric study of population-type characteristics of various kinds of stars, a statistical analysis of kinematical and distribution parameters of the same stars is performed at the Toruń Observatory. This has a twofold purpose: first, to provide a practical guide in selecting stars for observing programmes, second, to contribute to the understanding of relations existing between the physical and chemical properties of stars and their kinematics and distribution in the Galaxy.
