In this work, multifractal methods have been successfully used to characterize the temporal fluctuations of daily Jiuzhai Valley domestic and foreign tourists before and after Wenchuan earthquake in China. We used multifractal detrending moving average method (MF-DMA). It showed that Jiuzhai Valley tourism markets are characterized by long-term memory and multifractal nature in. Moreover, the major sources of multifractality are studied. Based on the concept of sliding window, the time evolutions of the multifractal behavior of domestic and foreign tourists were analyzed and the influence of Wenchuan earthquake on Jiuzhai Valley tourism system dynamics were evaluated quantitatively. The study indicates that the inherent dynamical mechanism of Jiuzhai Valley tourism system has not been fundamentally changed from long views, although Jiuzhai Valley tourism system was seriously affected by the Wenchuan earthquake. Jiuzhai Valley tourism system has the ability to restore to its previous state in the short term.

Abstract. We consider nonuniform energy transfer rate for solar wind turbulence depending on the solar cycle activity. To achieve this purpose we determine the generalized dimensions and singularity spectra for the experimental data of the solar wind measured in situ by Advanced Composition Explorer spacecraft during solar maximum (2001) and minimum (2006) at 1 AU. By determining the asymmetric singularity spectra we confirm the multifractal nature of different states of the solar wind. Moreover, for explanation of this asymmetry we propose a generalization of the usual so-called p-model, which involves eddies of different sizes for the turbulent cascade. Naturally, this generalization takes into account two different scaling parameters for sizes of eddies and one probability measure parameter, describing how the energy is transferred to smaller eddies. We show that the proposed model properly describes multifractality of the solar wind plasma.

This paper presents an analysis of medium energy target protons emitted in 32 S–AgBr interactions at 200 AGeV and 16 O–AgBr interactions at 60 AGeV in terms of scaled factorial moments up to the fifth order. The study gives evidence of a nonthermal phase transition in the 32 S–AgBr data. The multifractal nature of the particle spectra has also been observed using a new method proposed by F. Takagi.

AbstractWe consider a class of Gibbs measures on self-affine Sierpiński carpets and perform the multifractal analysis of its elements. These deterministic measures are Gibbs measures associated with bundle random dynamical systems defined on probability spaces whose geometrical structure plays a central role. A special subclass of these measures is the class of multinomial measures on Sierpiński carpets. Our result improves the already known result concerning the multifractal nature of the elements of this subclass by considerably weakening and in some cases even eliminating a strong separation condition of geometrical nature.
