Abstract Under the ever-increasing capital intensive environment that contemporary process industries face, oligopolies begin to form in mature markets where a small number of companies regulate and serve the customer base. Strategic and operational decisions are highly dependent on the firms’ customer portfolio and conventional modelling approaches neglect the rational behaviour of the decision makers, with regards to the problem of customer allocation, by assuming either static competition or a leader-follower structure. In this article, we address the fair customer allocation within oligopolies by employing the Nash bargaining approach. The overall problem is formulated as mixed integer program with linear constraints and a nonlinear objective function which is further linearised following a separable programming approach. Case studies from the industrial liquid market highlight the importance and benefits of the proposed game theoretic approach.

Reliability and availability are important symbols which weigh the reliability of product. Chemical production equipment system is consisted of many single devices. Due to special dangerous, the reliability analysis to whole equipment system is very important to keeping the safety of production process. In this article, to chemical process equipment system, the reliability calculation method, basic principles, basic assumptions and calculation program are described. To a aromatic semi-renewable dehydration process system, by using the reliability calculated method above, the fault tree and reliability block diagram are derived, the system reliability and availability are accounted, the corresponding reliability and availability curves are obtained and the main factors influencing the reliability of the system are analyzed.

In order to meet the technical production requirements of the ammonia modification equipment, this paper develops a set of electrical control system based on Omron CJ2M Series PLC, including the configuration of the hardware and software, the assignment of the input/output, and the design of communication system. The control system provides a perfect human-machine interaction and realizes the automation control of the devices.Through actual application, this control system can meet the control requirements of the ammonia modification production and raise the production automation level of the factory and increase labor productivity.
