The genetic structure of three Kazakh sheep breeds was examined by using 12 microsatellite loci. A total of 144 alleles were detected from the 12 STR loci, with a mean value of 12.0. The highest allele diversity was found at the locus CSRD247 (16 alleles). PIC value showed that all studied STR markers are more informative and appropriate for genetic analysis of three Kazakh sheep populations. Beside of INRA006, all markers had high level of genetic variability. As Fixation index shows, the excess of the heterozygosity was observed only in loci MAF065. Obtained number of private alleles in Edilbai, Kazakh Arkhar Merino and Kazakh Fine-wool sheep were 25, 17 and 15 respectively. Genetic diversity was higher in Edilbai population than in other two populations. The genetic variability was lower in Kazakh Arkhar Merino sheep than in the Edilbai and Kazakh Fine-wool sheep breeds. The genetic distance was the largest between Edilbai and Kazakh Arkhar Merinos. Also, the moderate differentiation was observed between Edilbai and Kazakh Arkhar Merinos.

The main objective of this paper is to measure the relationships between the ecotypes belonging to the Tigai and Tsurcana breeds of Romania and to quantify the genetic diversity within them from the informational statistics point of view, depending on the relief forms of the biotope in which they live, using the genetic variants of some selective genetic markers. The researches were carried out on ecotypes of the most ubiquitous sheep breeds in Romania, Tsigai and Tsurcana whose biotopes are circumscribed by more relief forms: plain, hilly, sub-mountainous and mountainous. The sheep were electrophoretically typified at the determinant loci of haemoglobin and transferrin. Using the allelic frequencies of the haemoglobin and transferrin systems that have been processed by concepts of informational statistics, the differentiation / similarity degree among ecotypes within the two breeds was quantified by the genetic distance (D) and the informational correlation coefficient (Rx,y), as well as the diversity level (d) of the genetic structures of these ecotypes on the basis of informational energy (e). Also, the heterozygosity degree (Ht) at the Hb and Tf loci was calculated in relation to the genetic diversity level. The paper analyzes the causes of genetic similarities and differentiations among the ecotypes of these two breeds at the level of the two biochemical-genetic loci: allelic distribution of haemoglobin and transferrin, altitude of relief forms, habitat conditions etc. The benefits of such studies are also presented for the improvement, breeding and conservation of the ecotypes of these two sheep breeds from Romania.

Genotypes and allele frequency values ​​were studied to determine the genetic diversity of three microsatellite markers (BM1329, BM134 and CSSM66) in two local Iraqi sheep breeds (50 Awasi ewes (AW) and 50 Naimi ewes (NA)) and breed in one Agricultural Stations in middle of Al-Furut Iraq (Karbala Governorate). The Genetic analyses for the study were carried out at the Biotechnology Research Center /  Al-Nahrain University using PCR technology to obtain alleles for the studied microsatellites. The results of this study indicate that there is a multiplicity of genotypes and alleles resulting from these markers among the members of the single breed and between the studied breeds. It was revealed that the allele frequency values showed the presence of alleles dominant on the rest of alleles produce in this sample studied, the BM1329 microsatellite of the Awassi breed produced the dominant allele frequency in 195(0.25) and 320 (0.25), While in the Naimi breed were the values ​​of the dominant allele frequency of the195(0.22), 220(0.21) and 230(0.24), and the dominant allelic frequency of (BM134) marker in the Awassi breed was 118 and 135 and repeated (0.21 and 0.26, respectively). For CSSM66 microsatellite, the dominant allelic results and their allelic frequency values ​​were (195 (0.20), 205 (0.23) and 220 (0.25)) for Awasi breed, whereas it was 180 (0.24), 195 (0.28) and 220 (0.22) for Nuaimi breed. These results enable us to use these markers as a means of determining the diversity and genetic relationships between individuals of a single breed as well as between breeds.

Molecular markers are the most ideal approach to study genetic diversity. Consequently, we utilized both ISSR and RAPD markers to assess genetic diversity and relationships among three different populations of Farafra, Ossimi and Rahmani Egyptian sheep breeds. Both ISSR and RAPD gave moderate polymorphism 41.3% and 48.51%, respectively. Besides, this value was consistent with the moderate value of the mean of polymorphism information content (0.16 and 0.20, respectively). Farafra-F and Farafra-D populations had the highest similarity which was 0.92 for ISSR and 0.90 for the RAPD marker. Furthermore, ISSR and RAPD constructed dendrogram separated all the studied sheep into two main clusters. All the three populations of Farafra breed combined into one main cluster, while the second cluster contained both Rahmani and Ossimi breeds. The used molecular markers were able to discriminate among evaluated sheep and displayed that Farafra breed more closely related to Ossimi than Rahmani breed.
