AbstractA taxonomic study of the genus Porpidia in western China revealed two species hitherto unknown to science, Porpidia squamosa and P. shangrila, along with three new records for the country: P. flavicunda, P. soredizodes and P. thomsonii. Detailed taxonomic descriptions, ecological and chemical characters, and illustrations are provided for the new taxa, and brief taxonomic descriptions provided for the newly reported taxa. A key to all known Chinese Porpidia species is also provided.

A new species and eight new subspecies of Papilionoidea discovered in Vietnam between 2002 and 2020 are described and illustrated. The status of two taxa are revised. New taxa include Pieridae: Delias sanaca bidoupa Monastyrskii & Vu subspec. nov. and Talbotia naganum aurelia Monastyrskii & Vu subspec. nov.; Nymphalidae: Abrota ganga pulcheria Monastyrskii & Vu, subspec. nov.; Bassarona recta consonensis Monastyrskii & Vu, subspec. nov.; Pantoporia bieti aurantina Monastyrskii & To subspec. nov.; Ragadia latifasciata cristata Monastyrskii & Vu, subspec. nov.; Ragadia latifasciata crystallina Monastyrskii & Vu, subspec. nov.; Faunis indistincta luctus Monastyrskii & Vu subspec. nov. & Aemona gialaica Monastyrskii, K. Saito & Vu, spec. nov. The taxon infuscata Devyatkin & Monastyrskii, previously described as the subspecies Aemona tonkinensis infuscata, was elevated to the species level, while the taxon critias (Ragadia critias Riley & Godfrey) was reduced to a subspecies. Three Satyrinae species were recorded from Vietnam for the first time: Palaeonympha opalina Butler, 1871; Ypthima motschulskyi Bremer & Grey, 1853; and Ragadia latifasciata Leech, 1891.

The spider genus Sinopoda Jäger, 1999 in China is studied. Seventeen new species are described: S. abstrusa sp. nov. (♂♀, Xizang), S. aequalis sp. nov. (♂♀, Henan), S. apiculiformis sp. nov. (♂♀, Hunan), S. brevis sp. nov. (♂♀, Liaoning), S. changde sp. nov. (♂♀, Hunan, Shaanxi), S. columnaris sp. nov. (♀, Guizhou), S. curva sp. nov. (♂, Guangxi), S. dehiscens sp. nov. (♀, Hunan), S. erromena sp. nov. (♀, Hunan), S. improcera sp. nov. (♂♀, Yunnan), S. lata sp. nov. (♀, Yunnan), S. luyui sp. nov. (♂♀, Sichuan, Gansu), S. ovata sp. nov. (♂♀, Chongqing), S. pyramidalis sp. nov. (♂♀, Sichuan), S. tumefacta sp. nov. (♂♀, Yunnan), S. yaanensis sp. nov. (♂♀, Sichuan, Yunnan), S. yanlingensis sp. nov. (♂♀, Hunan). Five known species are redescribed or diagnosed and differentiated from related species: the males of S. liui Zhong, Cao & Liu, 2017 and S. longshan Yin, Peng, Yan & Bao, 2000 and the female of S. pengi Song & Zhu, 1999 are reported for the first time; the female of S. longiducta Zhang, Zhang & Zhang, 2015 is considered mismatched and transferred to S. yaanensis sp. nov.; photographs and new records are provided for S. globosa Zhang, Zhang & Zhang, 2015.

A new genus and species of panchaetothripine thripid, Stosicthrips szitas, apparently related to Parthenothrips dracaenae, is described from leaves of a cultivated Grevillea (Proteaceae) in central Queensland and also at Perth, Australia. In another genus, Bhattithrips, a new species B. borealis is described from northern Australia, and the four members of this Australian genus are distinguished in a key. A species described from Southeast Asia, Astrothrips aureolus, is established and probably native to northern Australia, where it damages the leaves of an Hymenocallis cultivar (Amaryllidaceae).

The genus Liolaemus is a group of lizards with more than 230 recognized species, which have been grouped in differentclades and subgroups. One of the monophyletic groups is the one of Liolaemus boulengeri or “the patch group”; this cladeitself is integrated by several monophyletic groups: the groups Liolaemus anomalus, Liolaemus wiegmanii, Liolaemusdarwinii and Liolaemus melanops. The latter group is constituted almost exclusively by Patagonian lizards, and it is ourfocal group. In the present work we describe three new species belonging to the Liolaemus melanops group. One of thenew taxon described, Liolaemus tromen sp. nov., is related to the Liolaemus fitzingerii clade, inhabits in the Center-Westof Neuquén Province, and was confused initially with Liolaemus hermannunezi, a mountain Chilean species. The secondspecies described, Liolaemus purul sp. nov., belongs to the Liolaemus telsen clade, inhabits in the center and north-westof Neuquén Province, and was confused first with Liolaemus boulengeri and then with Liolaemus loboi. While the thirdspecies, Liolaemus dumerili sp. nov., is basal of the L. goetschi group, inhabits in the center-south of Río Negro provinceand was considered as Liolaemus melanops. In addition, we present a phylogenetic analysis based in the morphology and we contribute with a dichotomic key for males of the Liolaemus melanops group.

AbstractUpper Ordovician (Katian) strata of the Lake Simcoe region of Ontario record a spectacularly diverse and abundant echinoderm fauna known as the Brechin Lagerstätte. Despite recognition as the most taxonomically diverse Katian crinoid paleocommunity, the Brechin Lagerstätte has received relatively little taxonomic study since Frank Springer published his classic monograph on the “Kirkfield fauna” in 1911.Using a new collection of exceptionally preserved material, we evaluate all dicyclic inadunate crinoids occurring in the Brechin Lagerstätte, which is predominantly comprised of cladids (Eucladida and Flexibilia). We document 15 species across 11 genera, including descriptions of two new genera and four new species. New taxa include Konieckicrinus brechinensis n. gen. n. sp., K. josephi n. gen. n. sp., Simcoecrinus mahalaki n. gen. n. sp., and Dendrocrinus simcoensis n. sp.Although cladids are not commonly considered major components of the Early Paleozoic Crinoid Macroevolutionary Fauna, which is traditionally conceived as dominated by disparids and diplobathrid camerates, they are the most diverse major lineage of crinoids occurring in the Brechin Lagerstätte. A new South American genus of Delphacini (Hemiptera: Fulgoromorpha: Delphacidae), Neodelphax n. gen., is described. It includes a new species, N. sakakibarai sp. n., which is described herein, and two species that are removed from the genus Dicranotropis. All of them are illustrated. Supplementary descriptions of female N. fuscoterminata (Berg) comb. n. and N. acheron (Fennah) comb. n., including some new records and host plant associations are added. A preliminary key for males and females of South American species of Neodelphax with representative illustrations is also provided.

A new species, Spilomena capatrata Bashir & Ma, sp. nov. is described from Palearctic and Oriental China. Additionally, eleven species are reported, of which five are new records from China: S. beata Blüthgen, S. hainesi N. Smith, S. menkei R. Bohart, S. punctatissima Blüthgen, and S. valkeilai Vikberg. A key to Chinese species of Spilomena Shuckard is also provided.
