The high pressure of the order of hundreds of gigapascals required to obtain the high-temperature superconducting phases of a number of hydrides causes the crystal lattice compression, which in turn leads to an exponential increase in the probability of a hydrogen atom tunneling between equivalent interstices. At low temperatures, vacancies in the filled under stoichiometry hydrogen sublattice and hydrogen atoms in the completely free under stoichiometry interstice sublattice are quantum defect - defectons. The estimate of the defecton contribution into the superconductivity of hydrides has been obtained and has been shown that it can be substantial either in the case of free defectons, or in the case of defectons, clusterized with the formation of two-level systems.
