A rapid one-pot wet-chemical method was developed for large-scale preparation of surface-clean AuPt alloyed nanowire networks with the assistance of N-methylimidazole as a structure-directing agent and a weak stabilizing agent.

Wet chemical method was applied to prepare magnesium oxide nanoparticles using magnesium nitrate and sodium hydroxide as precursors in presence of starch as stabilizing agent. The XRD analysis of MgO nanoparticles showed the average particles size of crystallite as 12nm. SEM images also proved the crystalline nature of MgO nanoparticles. Antibacterial studies were done on gram positive (S. aureus) and gram negative (E.coli) bacteria using the above prepared nanoparticles by agar diffusion method. The zone of inhibition was found to more in S.aureus compared to E.coli. Since this method of preparation produced better yield in simple and cost effective way, it can be applied for large scale preparation of magnesium oxide nanoparticles.

We made the ZnO nanorods using wet chemical method. it is so simple, economic and suitable for large-scale production, the quality of the arrayed ZnO nanorods fabricated using these methods are not as good as that of nanorods prepared via VLD, CVDand ED method. We demonstrate that the concentration of precursors have influence on the morphology and optical properties, growth density and its distribution of the arrayed ZnO nanorods can be effectively controlled by using suitable conditions. We tried to study suitable ZnO nanorods growth condition to apply to a organic-inorganic hybrid solar cell, and we made the solar cell and investigated the energy conversion efficiency etc.

AbstractAn acidic ionic liquid 3-methyl-2-(1-sulfobutyl)-1H-imidazolium hydrogensulfate, [BSO3HMIm]HSO4, was used as an efficient catalyst for the synthesis of a variety of pyrrole derivatives via a one-pot, three-component condensation of amines, nitroolefins, and 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds. Good to excellent yields of 72–96% were obtained under reflux in ethanol. The catalyst could easily be recovered and recycled up to six times, resulting in good yields without prolonging the reaction time. This method was also efficient in large-scale preparation. The procedure could be easily expanded to a one-pot, four-component reaction. This ionic liquid-catalyzed reaction provided an environmentally friendly alternative to the synthesis of pyrrole derivatives.

Ultrathin PtxPd93−xBi7 alloy nanowires were synthesized by one-pot wet-chemical method. Optimized Pt55Pd38Bi7 exhibits superior electrocatalytic activity and long-term durability towards ethanol oxidation.

Silver nanowires (AgNWs) with varied diameters were synthesized by a facile and efficient one-pot polyol method. Each run of the reaction with this method can provide more than 10 g of AgNWs.
