Partially unzipped carbon nanotubes can be regarded as CNT–graphene hybrids with a graphene like structure strongly attached to the intact inner walls of the nanotubes. They present a much lower Fth than graphene oxide nanosheets and carbon nanotubes at both 532 and 1064 nm, indicating a superior broadband optical limiting effect.

Enhanced (by ∼2.8) nonlinear optical property of GO–Ag nanocomposite has been reported by Z-scan technique at a visible wavelength of 532 nm. The synthesized GO–Ag nanocomposite is also displaying significant optical limiting effect.

Adsorption of ionizable aromatic compounds (IACs) such as 1-naphthylamine and 1-naphthol on Humic acid (HA)-coated graphene oxide nanosheets (GONs), multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), activated carbon (AC), and flake graphite (FG) were investigated by the batch techniques.
