Al-SBA-15-TPI/H6P2W18O62 is introduced as an effective catalyst for the one-pot synthesis of indazolo-phthalazine-triones. The catalyst could be easily separated without noticeable reduction in activity.

ZnO nanoparticles as a worthwhile and recyclable catalyst have been used for the one-pot synthesis of 1,8-dioxo-decahydroacridines and 1,8-dioxooctahydro-xanthenes via multi-component reactions under solvent-free conditions. The presented method is mild, environmentally friendly, inexpensive and highly effective to give the products in good to excellent yields.

An ethylenediamine-promoted three-component synthesis of 3-(thiomethyl)indoles from indoles, thiophenols, and paraformaldehyde has been developed. Water is used as the green solvent in a simple and environmentally friendly procedure. Stable and low-toxicity paraformaldehyde is used as a carbon source.
