Lanthanide sulfate–carboxylpyrazolate nets, which have double cuboid cavities, encapsulated single-ion hydrates, tolerance in water for 6 months and even under a 200 °C hydrothermal condition tested for 3 days, and high proton-conductivity of over 10−3 S cm−1 at 25 °C and at 97% relative humidity are reported.

A tetranuclear copper cluster-based MOF with sulfonate–carboxylate ligands has been synthesized. It possesses 1D irregular channels lined with sulfonate, carboxylate, and DMF molecules, which show a high proton conductivity of 7.4 × 10−4 S cm−1 at 95 °C and 95% relative humidity.

Through cation substitution in a zirconium based coordination polymer, an isostructural framework 1@NH4+ has been prepared without any apparent structural change. The proton conductivity of 1@NH4+ is successfully improved. It exhibits high proton conductivity (1.39 × 10−2 S cm−1) at 98% relative humidity and 60 °C.

The MOFs were constructed by ligand AHP and sulfonate analogues. MOF4 exhibits a high proton conductivity of 1.95 × 10−3 S cm−1 at 95 °C and 98% relative humidity. MOFs 1–5 also serve as photocatalysts for methylene blue degradation.
