Pediatric skull deformity requires immediate surgery as indicated by increased cranial pressure, mental retardation, impaired or absent vision, cranial deformity, and mental and spiritual defects. This study explores the application value of computer aided simulation in treatment of pediatric skull deformity. The application of computer simulation surgery in the treatment of children with pediatric skull deformity allows surgeons to be familiar with the operation process in advance. The use of computer 3D digital technology for preoperative design planning and simulation can reduce surgical difficulty to a certain extent, improve surgical efficiency, significantly increase intraoperative accuracy, and also reduce the risk of intraoperative bleeding and postoperative complications.

This study explores the application value of computer aided simulation and biomechanical analysis in treatment of congenital sagittal synostosis. The traditional and proposed treatment methods were evaluated by comparing the operation time, blood loss, operation cost and postoperative complications. The application of computer simulation surgery and biomechanical analysis in the treatment of children with congenital sagittal synostosis allows surgeons to be familiar with the operation process and splicing scheme in advance. In particular, computer biomechanical analysis was proposed for the first time to determine the position and quantity of the joint materials, so as to achieve operation's objectives of stability, aesthetics, expansion, significantly improve the surgical efficiency, reduce the cost and postoperative complications.

The study presents the possibility of using modern CAD/CAM systems for computer simulation of the process of making the detail on a numerically controlled lathe MIYANO BNA 42GTY. The Alkard CNC Wizard software was used. To verify the correctness of the implemented production process, a coordinate measuring machine Zeiss Prismo 5 with a Renishaw PH-20 head was used. The measurements were carried out using the Modus control software.

Nowadays, the use of mathematical models and computer simulation allow analysis of many different technological solutions as well as testing various scenarios in a short time and at low financial budget in order to simulate the scenario under typical conditions for the real system and help to find the best solution in design or operation process. The aim of the study was to evaluate different concepts of biochemical processes and energy balance modelling using a simulation platform GPS-x and a comprehensive model Mantis2. The paper presents the example of calibration and validation processes in the biological reactor as well as scenarios showing an influence of operational parameters on the WWTP energy balance. The results of batch tests and full-scale campaign obtained in the former work were used to predict biochemical and operational parameters in a newly developed plant model. The model was extended with sludge treatment devices, including anaerobic digester. Primary sludge removal efficiency was found as a significant factor determining biogas production and further renewable energy production in cogeneration. Water and wastewater utilities, which run and control WWTP, are interested in optimizing the process in order to save environment, their budget and decrease the pollutant emissions to water and air. In this context, computer simulation can be the easiest and very useful tool to improve the efficiency without interfering in the actual process performance.

To establish a new three-dimensional (3D) digital design method for osteotomy and assess its application value in the surgical treatment of hemivertebrae. Preoperative 3D digital designs for osteotomy of the hemivertebrae were performed, which included computer simulation of the osteotomy and the internal fixation process, and computer-assisted design (CAD) of the templates for osteotomy of the hemivertebrae, pedicle screw positioning, and internal fixation rods. Template-guided osteotomy of the hemivertebrae plus pedicle screw and rod internal fixation were accurately implemented. The preoperative use of this new computer-aided 3D digitized and paperless surgical design can improve the safety, accuracy, and operative time for osteotomy in the treatment of hemivertebrae.

SUMMARY Computer-aided design and manufacturing technology enables practitioners to create, in a single appointment, indirect restorations that are esthetic and functionally unique to the patient's situation. The popular effort to perform minimally invasive dentistry using digital techniques with chairside milling can lead dentists to novel individualized restorative treatment. This article demonstrates a conservative anterior partial coverage restoration, utilizing both digital technology and chairside ceramic characterization to achieve an optimal esthetic outcome while preserving healthy tooth structure.

A novel computer aided geometry approach for type synthesis and analysis of new spatial 4-DOF parallel manipulators is put forward, and create the computer simulation mechanisms of parallel manipulators using the geometric constraints and dimension driving techniques in CAD software, Based on the computer simulation mechanisms of parallel manipulators, several new spatial 4-DOF parallel manipulators are synthesized, the kinematic characteristics of the moving platforms are analyzed by computer simulation. The results of computer simulation prove that the computer aided geometric approach for solving type synthesis and kinematic analysis is not only fairly quick and straightforward, but also has the advantages of accuracy.
