As we enter the new century, humanity wields increasing power to understand, alter, and control the world in which we live. The mysteries of our genetic code provide remarkable new insights into our unique human characteristics. Rapid developments in information technology provide instant access to limitless data. The information age has taken hold, and the genetic revolution is in full swing. With apologies to Aldous Huxley, we stand at the precipice of a brave new world. It has been just 50 years since James Watson and Francis Crick's groundbreaking discovery of the double helix. Since then, profound developments in the science of genetics have been staggering. More staggering still are the potential benefits, the boundless horizons, the promised and unimagined applications of their work, and the work of the many scientists involved in the sequencing of the human genome. There can be no doubt that a firm and unwavering commitment to the betterment of humankind has fueled this tireless effort.

Whereas e-government used to be focused mainly on digitalizing documents, the attention is currently shifting to the question how the main governmental functions service, care and control can be realized in the best way in an information age. In this respect, e-customs is a case in point. Worldwide Customs is transforming from the labor intensive paper work it used to be for ages to “e-customs,” where international trade is facilitated by fully exploiting the current global digital infrastructure. As a consequence, a shift in the distribution of responsibilities can be observed (so-called horizontal supervision). The authors show how this shift can be leveraged by further technical developments grouped under the label of Service-Oriented Auditing (innovative auditing services based on the Service-Oriented Architecture). A particular challenge is coordination. There is a need for better coordination of the numerous governmental and supply chain controls. They explore different coordination mechanisms to support this development.

In 1977 and 1979, Robert Greenleaf published two books on his concerpt of servant leadership; and since his death, his associates and friends have written a series of books on this same theme, which is important to public administration.  In brief, the books argue for a style of leadership that stresses listening, empathy, healing, persuasion, awareness, foresight, conceptualization, committment of growth to others, stewardship, and building community.  In this article, we argue that the Information Age is creating new organizations in which servant leadership is particularly salient as opposed to the traditional command and control leadership style of management.  Although applauding this literature, we argue that is was very much based on the spiritual wisdom literature, which has existed since humankind first recorded their thoughts.  We further argue that we, as scholars and professionals, can improve this very important useful literature even more by tapping Greenleaf's original source of inspiration.

Internet of things is an ultimate development direction of the information age, while mine informatization is only way to realize the safety production and management of mining enterprise. In this paper, we research and simulate the human neural network system and propose the structure of internet of things based on human neural network. We connect all the objects and systems of the mines through mine internet of things to simulate the reflex activities of human body, regulate and control production, management and other links of the mining enterprises, so that it will become a coordinated and efficient whole.
