The cutting-edge technology, namely Cloud of Things (CoT) has shaped the existing business process into a new orientation in terms of performance, usability, and reliability. Among different business processes, online education is one of the prime areas where CoT can be used to make it more agile in the context of performance and usability. In this endeavor, a novel methodology has been proposed for an online higher education framework based on CoT. The proposed framework is made agile using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Furthermore, in order to make the proposed framework more reliable, a Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKPF) system has been introduced here. The proposed ZKPF algorithm is based on the Hadamard matrix. Experimental results have shown to lay bare the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

The current generation of connected devices and the Internet of Things augment people’s capabilities through ambient intelligence. Ambient Intelligence (AmI) support systems contain applications consuming available services in the environment to serve users. A well-known design of these applications follows a service architecture style and implement artificial intelligence mechanisms to maintain an awareness of the context: The service architecture style enables the distribution of capabilities and facilitates interoperability. Intelligence and context-awareness provide an adaptation of the environment to improve the interaction. Smart objects in distributed deployments and the increasing machine awareness of devices and people context also lead us to architectures, including self-governed policies providing self-service. We have systematically reviewed and analyzed ambient system governance considering service-oriented architecture (SOA) as a reference model. We applied a systematic mapping process obtaining 198 papers for screening (out of 712 obtained after conducting searches in research databases). We then reviewed and categorized 68 papers related to 48 research projects selected by fulfilling ambient intelligence and SOA principles and concepts. This paper presents the result of our analysis, including the existing governance designs, the distribution of adopted characteristics, and the trend to incorporate service in the context-aware process. We also discuss the identified challenges and analyze research directions.

The developed infrastructure of a small agricultural business (ISAB) ensures the innovative development of production of small enterprises of the agro-industrial complex (AIC), solves social problems of rural areas and provides employment for the rural population, performing a number of functions, including: property, financial, consulting, information, legal, innovative , social and export support for small agricultural businesses (SAB). The aim of the study is to identify the problems of the infrastructure development of the SAB and search for their solutions. The methods of generalization, economic and mathematical modeling, functional analysis were used, the data of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the reporting of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, publications of foreign and domestic authors and other sources served as the material for the study. It was proposed to use the institution of “commercial procurement”, to functionally expand the “financial” service, to organize a Single Industry Center for Infrastructure Development (Center), which will ensure effective interaction of all participants through the use of a digital platform based on a service-oriented architecture (SOA). The platform needs to be integrated with government information systems that support the infrastructure development of the SAB. The cluster organization of infrastructure facilities will increase efficiency, will contribute to the concentration of resources and their greater purposefulness. The main result of the implementation of new organizational mechanisms should be the effective development of the IMAB.

The problem and the main stages of choosing a rational configuration of a four-level logistics network that is resistant to the impact of emergencies forstrategic planning are considered. The problem under consideration belongs to the class of multicriteria optimization problems. Criteria related to thefinancial costs of building and operating a logistics distribution channel, as well as criteria related to the level of quality of customer service, arecontradictory. To solve the problem of stability of the logistics system configuration to emergencies, such as failure of intermediate warehouses, failure of transport arteries, etc., a strategic management information system was developed by integrating existing software components at the level ofenterprise software applications. The integration of the system was based on a service-oriented architecture, as all its components are heterogeneous innature. This approach allows you to reuse existing program code. To determine a sustainable configuration option, two criteria are used, which areconsidered equivalent: the level of costs for the maintenance of the logistics channel and the level of service quality in the event of differentemergencies. Since the probability of emergencies is unknown, the minimax criterion is used to minimize the risk when choosing a rationalconfiguration of the logistics network. For this purpose, losses from emergencies are calculated according to all criteria, and there is a variant of thelogistics network configuration that will be the least risky. That is, we will not be able to get a worse result than the one we rely on. The results of thestudy are presented in the form of a configuration variant of the logistics distribution system, which can be used in the future to determine businessoptions.

Cyber-physical systems (CPSs) have greatly contributed to many applications. A CPS is capable of integrating physical and computational capabilities to interact with individuals through various new modalities. However, there is a need for such a paradigm to focus on the human central nervous system to provide faster data access. This paper introduces the CPS paradigm that consists of CPS enabled human brain monitoring (CPS-HBM) and efficient data-balancing for CPS (EDB-CPS). The CPS-HBM provides architectural support to make an efficient and secure transfer and storage of the sensed data over fog cloud computing. The CPS-HBM consists of four components: physical domain and data processing (PDDP), brain sensor network (BSN), Service-oriented architecture (SOA), and data management domain (DMD). The EDB-CPS module aims to balance data flow for obtaining better throughput and lower hop-to-hop delay. The EDB-CPS accomplishes the goal by employing three processes: A node advertisement (NA), A node selection and recruitment (NSR), and optimal distance determination with mid-point (ODDMP). The processes of the EDB-CPS are performed on the PDDP of the CPS-HBM module. Thus, to determine the validity of EDB-CPS, the paradigm was programmed with C++ and implemented on a network simulator-3 (NS3). Finally, the performance of the proposed EDB-CPS was compared with state-of-the-art methods in terms of hop-to-hop delay and throughput. The proposed EDB-CPS produced better throughput between 443.2–445.2 KB/s and 0.05–0.078 ms hop-to-hop delay.

Cloud manufacturing is a new globalized manufacturing framework which has improved the performance of manufacturing systems. The service-oriented architecture as the main idea behind this framework means that all resources and capabilities are considered as services. The agents interact by way of service exchanging, which has been a part of service composition research topics. Service allocations to demanders in a cloud manufacturing system have a dynamic behavior. However, the current research studies on cloud-based service composition are mainly based on centralized global optimization models. Therefore, a distributed deployment and real-time synchronization platform, which enables the globalized collaboration in service composition, is required. This paper proposes a method of using blockchain to solve these issues. Each service composition is considered as a transaction in the blockchain concept. A block includes a set of service compositions and its validity is confirmed by a predefined consensus mechanism. In the suggested platform, the mining role in blockchain is interpreted as an endeavor for proposing the proper service composition in the manufacturing paradigm. The proposed platform has interesting capabilities as it can increase the response time using the blockchain technology and improve the overall optimality of supply-demand matching in cloud manufacturing. The efficiency of the proposed model was evaluated by investigating a service allocation problem in a cloud manufacturing system in four large scale problems. Each problem is examined in four centralized modes, two, three and four solvers in blockchain-based model. The simulation results indicate the high quality of the proposed solution. The proposed solution will lead to at least 15.14% and a maximum of 34.8 percent reduction in costs and 20 to 68.4 percent at the solving time of the problem. It is also observed that with increasing the number of solvers (especially in problems with larger dimensions) the solution speed increases sharply (more than 68% improvement in some problems), which indicates the positive effect of distribution on reducing the problem-solving time.

Service oriented enterprise computing is an integration architectural style aimed to expose and consume coarse grained and fine grained modularization of business functionalities as services that are being deployed in the loosely coupled organizational environment. The web service is the implementation technology of service oriented architecture (SOA) where it is built on the existing networking and web interfacing standards as it has to use the web as a medium of communication and does not have any specialized in-built layer for security. The majority of the vendor security products in the market need specialized hardware/software components, eventually, they break the standards and principles of service oriented architecture. The traditional way of problem solving is not effective for developing security solutions for service oriented computing, as its boundaries keep expanding beyond a single organiza-tional environment due to the advent of communication and business technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), hyper-personalization, and edge computing. Hence, it is a mandatory entity in this digital age of enterprise computing to have a specialized authentication and authorization solution exclusively for addressing the existing security gaps in SOA in an adaptive way forward approach. In this paper, the security gaps in the existing Identity and Access Management (IDAM) solutions for service oriented enterprise computing are analyzed, and a novel intelligent security engine which is packed with extended authentication and authorization solution model for service consumption is presented. The authentication and authorization security requirements are considered as cross cutting concerns of SOA implementation and the solution is constructed as Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) advices, which enables the solution can be attached as a ‘plug & play’ component without changing the underlying source code of the service implementation. For Proof-of-Concept (PoC), the proposed authentication and authorization security model is tested in a large scale service oriented enterprise computing environment and the results have been analyzed statistically. It is evident from the results that the proposed security model addresses security issues comparatively better than existing security solutions.

Abstract: Architecting is an indispensable activity in all spheres and paradigms of Software Engineering. DevOps, a portmanteau of Development and Operations, has a major adoption challenge in context to Microservices Architecture. Architecture refers to the most important aspect of internal design of a software. Architecture must be good otherwise; it will become slow and much more expensive to add new proficiencies in future. This paper has presented a review of microservices architecture and implementation patterns. Microservice approach is a new concept in software architecture patterns and has leapt up over past few years for describing a certain method to design software applications as collections of individualistically deployable services. In this paper we are looking to discover the role of microservices software architecture in DevOps. It is found that adopting DevOps may carry many challenges/issues like organizational values, immaturity of the tools and infrastructural support with it for architecting with it. Keywords: Microservices Architecture, Microservice, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Software Architecture, DevOps
