The paper contains the study of heavy metals in three species - Sargassum miyabei , Sargassum pallidum , Cystoseira crassipes in the coastal waters of the Posyet Bay. The analysis of the spatial distribution of trace elements revealed the highest contents of zinc, copper and nickel in the Troitsa Bight, due to recreational pressure and a high concentration of nickel and cadmium in Sivuchya Bight that was caused by transboundary atmospheric transport. All of detected concentrations exceed natural background values for the North-Western part of the Sea of Japan. The authors show that there has been a distinct change in the environmental situation in the the Posyet Bay since 1998: the concentration of lead has sharply decreased, the content of zinc, copper and cadmium has decreased, it could be connected with influence reduction in the free economic zone, located on the Chinese side on the Tumannaya River.

The larval shell morphology of 10 bivalve species of the family Mytilidae (Adula falcatoides, Crenella decussata, Crenomytilus grayanus, Modiolus kurilensis, Musculista senhousia, Mytilus coruscus, Mytilus galloprovincialis, Mytilus trossulus and Septifer keenae, and an unidentified species Mytilidae indeterminate) from the Sea of Japan is described. The following morphological features were comparatively examined: larval shell outlines including shape and size of umbones, and anterior, posterior and ventral margins, hinge morphology, ligament location, sculpture, colour, and eye-spot outlines. Some dimensional parameters of larval shells are given. The time interval of occurrence of larvae in the plankton, water temperature in this period, and shell length of competent larvae are presented. It is demonstrated that, in spite of sometimes similar external morphological characters, identification of mytilid larvae creates no difficulties if all distinguishing characters are used.

Представлены сведения об обнаружении в зал. Петра Великого (северо-западная часть Японского моря) нового для фауны России вида двустворчатого моллюска Tellimya fujitaniana (Yokoyama, 1927) (Lasaeidae). Три живые особи с длиной раковины 3.9–6.2 мм собраны в 2003 и 2018 гг. в диапазоне глубин 17–28 м на илисто-песчаном грунте. Обобщены данные по экологии и ареалу данного вида. Ключевые слова: двустворчатый моллюск, Tellimya fujitaniana (Yokoyama, 1927), Lasaeidae, распространение, залив Петра Великого, Японское море. Information on finding in Peter the Great Bay (north-western part of the Sea of Japan) a new species of bivalve mollusk for the fauna of Russia, Tellimya fujitaniana (Yokoyama, 1927) (Lasaeidae), are presented. Three alive specimens with shell length 3.9–6.2 мм were collected in 2003 and 2018 at the depths of 17–28 m on muddy sand. Data on the ecology and geographical range of this species are summarized. Oscarella malakhovi sp. nov. is described from the waters of Peter the Great Bay (northwestern Sea of Japan, Russia) at depths between 0.4–4 m from a rocky coast. This is the first record of the genus Oscarella from the North-Western Pacific. The new species is characterized by its pinky-beige to yellow color, undulating appearance, lumpy, microlobate surface, soft, slimy consistency, two particular kinds of cells with inclusions (vacuolar and granular cells), and of two kinds of endobiont bacteria. The new species of Oscarella is clearly different in cell, endobiotic bacteria content, and external morphology from all previously described species of Oscarella.
