Abstract Copyright protection for digital multimedia has become a research hotspot in recent years. As an efficient solution, the digital watermarking scheme has emerged at the right moment. In this article, a highly robust and hybrid watermarking method is proposed. The discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and the singular value decomposition (SVD) as well as iterative blending are adopted in this method to insert and recover the watermark. To enhance the watermark imperceptibility, the second low-level (LL2) coefficients after SVD are modified by using the watermark. Compared with the conventional DWT-SVD-based watermarking method and other watermarking techniques, the watermarked images obtained by the proposed method have higher image quality. In addition, the proposed method achieves high robustness in resisting various image processing attacks.

The copyright protection of multimedia information is more and more important in the digital age, digital watermarking is a solution to address the topic. This paper proposes a new robust image watermarking scheme based on discrete ridgelet transform (DRT) and discrete wavelet transform (DWT). The scheme respectively embeds a copy of color image watermark into DWT domain and DRT domain, and uses a conception of semi-watermark. Experiment results demonstrate that the watermark can resist various attacks such as adding Gaussian or Union Distribution Noise, JPEG compression, brightness adjustment, contrast adjustment, altering color balance, lens blur, zooming in or out, cropping and some combined attacks etc.

With the development of the Internet, storage and transmission technologies such as printers and scanners, digital multimedia products are rapidly transmitted through the Internet broadcasting, multimedia works becoming easy to obtain and illegally tampering and copying. The copyright of media works urgently needs to be protected. As an important information security scheme, digital watermarking technology provides a powerful solution to the protection of multimedia works. In this paper, we propose an image digital watermarking algorithm combining discrete wavelet transform, discrete cosine transform and matrix singular value decomposition and new scrambling technique. Furthermore, to improve the robustness of the algorithm, grayscale scrambling and pseudo magic square transform are used. To evaluate our proposed algorithm, we realize the simulation based on Python 3.7.  All the simulation results show that our proposed algorithm has strong imperceptibility and robustness.

In most of the digital image watermarking schemes, it becomes a common practice to address security in terms of robustness, which is basically a norm in cryptography. Such consideration in developing and evaluation of a watermarking scheme may severely affect the performance and render the scheme ultimately unusable. Watermarking is the process of embedding watermark into an image such that the embedded watermark can be extracted later. Lossy compression attacks in digital watermarking are one of the major issues in digital watermarking. Cheddad et al. proposed a robust secured self-embedding method which is resistant to a certain amount of JPEG compression. Our experimental results show that the self-embedding method is resistant to JPEG compression attacks and not resistant to other lossy compression attacks such as Block Truncation Coding (BTC) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). Therefore we improved Cheddad at all’s. Method to give better protection against BTC and SVD compression attacks

In order to protect the integrity and copyright, digital watermarking embeded secret message into the digital multi- media, which is not easy to detect the embedded watermarking, but determine the distinction using of information redundancy and randomness of digital multimedia. According to the characteristics of digital watermarking, the singular value decomposition (SVD) and discrete wavelet transform (DWT) algorithm are combined using the characteristics of SVD of image matrix and the features of multi-resolution of DWT. Therefore, a new digital watermarking algorithm of SVD is proposed in this paper. The singular values of each band of watermarking image are embedded into the coefficients of corresponding to the singular value of original image low-frequency band. The experimental results showed that the algorithm of the watermarking embedding and extraction had good robustness and effectiveness. The watermarking was robust and transparent.

This paper proposes a novel scheme combining Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) for image watermarking. The watermarking image is separated by two parts randomly, then they are embedded into the sub-bands obtained from the original image in DWT domain by modifying the singular value. SVD is applied twice in this scheme. The use of the threshold of Just Noticeable Distortion (JND) based on human visual model determines the embedding strength and position of the watermark, the digital adaptive watermarking algorithm in a combinational domain is realized. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme has a good invisibility and performance of robustness for common attacks, simultaneously enhances the embedding capacity and security.
