Multi-criteria decision-making methods (MCDM) have accelerated in recent years. Many authors have made remarkable manipulation of the uncertainty involved in MCDM problems as a constant to make the most appropriate decision among the alternatives proposed. For this reason, fuzzy logic has been integrated into the MCDM, achieving new hybrid methodologies. These have managed to increase decision-making capacity, allowing us to manipulate nonfuzzy (quantitative) and fuzzy (qualitative) information. The main of this paper presents the comparative analysis of the Pythagorean Fuzzy CODAS method in order to examine the advantages and differences in comparison to MOORA Pythagorean Fuzzy Set method. The analysis, in this sense, aims to present a new scenario for the selection of the best decision-making problem, taking its advantages and thus achieve a greater benefit in real problems applications. An illustrative case will be presented with the MOORA-PFS methodology, to see the results obtained with Pythagorean Fuzzy CODAS. Besides, this comparative study to academics to choose more operative methods for solve MCDM problems.

In manufacturing industry selection of right supplier (s) is one of the challenging activities. Supplier selection is the method of determining the appropriate suppliers to provide the right quality of products, at the right quantities, at the right price in the right time. During the last ten years based on the changes in the business sector, Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) has been one of the fastest growing areas. By choosing the best supplier, the companies can increase their productivity and also competitive advantage. In the earlier period, several methods have been proposed to solve the supplier selection problem, such as the linear weighting methods, the analytic network process, total cost approaches and mathematical programming techniques. Although the linear programming methods are simple, they are not accurate and more variations exist. So the latest multi-criteria decision making tools such as Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Fuzzy Logic (FL) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) are deeply studied. While selecting the best supplier, many criteria are involved. The criteria may be different for different approach. The decision makers always express their preferences on alternatives or on the attributes of supplier which can be used to help rank the supplier and choose the enviable one. In this article, application of fuzzy logic and AHP are discussed with case-studies and also presented the discussion about implementation of ANN for supplier selection.

All colleges each year organize the selection of new admissions. Acceptance of prospective students in universities as education providers is done by selecting prospective students based on achievement in school and college entrance selection. To select the best student candidates based on predetermined criteria, then use Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) or commonly called decision support system. One method in MCDM is the Elimination Et Choix Traduisant la Reality (ELECTRE). The ELECTRE method is the best method of action selection. The ELECTRE method to obtain the best alternative by eliminating alternative that do not fit the criteria and can be applied to the decision SNMPTN invitation path.

This paper describes the development of decision support system application to assist students who want to enter college so that no one choose the majors incorrectly. This application uses fuzzy logic method because fuzzy logic is very flexible in data which are vague and can be represented as a linguistic variable. The purpose of this application is to assist students to choose available majors at University Multimedia Nusantara which are appropriate with his/her capabilities. This application accepts five kinds of input values i.e. Mathematics, Indonesian, English, Physics, and TIK. Received input will be processed by the calculation of the system for decision-making and the application will generate output that shows how great a match for each majors. With this application, prospective students can find out where the majors that match his/her capabilities. This application has ninety nine percentage of match result accuracy. Index Terms—fuzzy logic, decision support system, UMN, selection of major
