AbstractThis article is concerned to delineate the strategic approach of ELiminating Et Choice Translating REality (ELECTRE) method for multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) in terms of complex spherical fuzzy sets. The feasible, well-suited, and marvelous structure of complex spherical fuzzy set compliments the decision-making efficiency and ranking calibre of ELECTRE I approach to present a beneficial and supreme aptitude strategy for MAGDM. Beside the proposed methodology, a few non-fundamental properties of complex spherical fuzzy weighted averaging (CSFWA) operator inclusive of shift invariance, homogenous, linearity, and additive property are also explored. The proposed procedure validates the individual opinions into an acceptable form by the dint of CSFWA operator and the aggregated opinions are further analyzed by the proposed complex spherical fuzzy- ELECTRE I (CSF-ELECTRE I) method. Within the consideration of proposed methodology, normalized Euclidean distances of complex spherical fuzzy numbers are also contemplated. In CSF-ELECTRE I method, the score, accuracy, and refusal degrees determine the concordance and discordance sets for each pair of alternatives to calculate the concordance and discordance indices, respectively. Based on aggregated outranking matrix, a decision graph is constructed to attain the ELECTREcally outranked solutions and the best alternative. This article provides supplementary approach at the final step to profess a linear ranking order of the alternatives. The versatility and feasibility of the presented method are embellished with two case studies from the business and IT field. Moreover, to ratify the intensity and aptitude of the presented methodology, we provide a comparative study with complex spherical fuzzy-TOPSIS method.

PurposeAdopting the circular economy (CE) notion in the supply chain perspective is necessary for the sustainability viewpoint. However, such practices are deficient, especially in developing countries like India, because of several obstacles. The purpose of this study was to create an approach for circular supply chain management (CSCM) adaption in Indian rubber industries by identifying and evaluating its associated obstacles.Design/methodology/approachA hybrid approach of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the grey-based ELECTRE method had been employed in this research to obtain the mutual rankings of the identified obstacles based on their impressions on the CSCM prosperity criteria through a case study and involving diverse expert's opinions.FindingsPresented study's findings illustrate that “Lack of consumer knowledge and consciousness towards environmental sustainability” was found to be the top-ranked obstacle followed by “Unwillingness towards supply chain re-structuring”.Research limitations/implicationsThe obstacles' prioritized rankings could help leaders to create sequential strategies for adapting a resilient CSCM structure by systematically eliminating these obstacles. Moreover, the pinpointed critical obstacles could be investigated further in separate studies and generate future studies' scope.Originality/valueDuring the extensive literature survey, it had been found that the CSCM practices are in the fledgling stage in the developing country's context. Moreover, studies related to CSCM adaption in rubber-based manufacturing industries were much lacking. Presented work is peculiar, aiming to accelerate the CSCM adaption in the industrial rubber sector in developing countries like India.

Various methods of multicriteria optimization have been developed and have recently been widely applied in trade. With this in mind, this paper investigates the performance of food retailers in Serbia based on the ELECTRE method. The goal and purpose of researching the efficiency problems of leading food retailers using the ELECTRE method is to see as realistically as possible their position on the food market in Serbia in order to improve in the future by more efficient control of critical factors and implementation of relevant measures. In addition to the challenges, topicality, significance and complexity, the reasons for researching the given problem in this paper are reflected in that. In addition, by applying the ELECTRE method, more realistic results are obtained in relation to the ratio analysis, especially in combination with other methods of multicriteria analysis (TOPSIS, AHP, ARAS and others). The results of the research show that Delhaize Serbia is the best company in terms of performance. This is the result of Delhaize Serbia's good position in the retail market in Serbia. It applies new business models (private label, sales of organic products, multi-channel sales - stores and electronic). It applies modern concepts of cost management, sales, assets, capital, customers, product categories and profit. In addition to all that, the digitalization of the entire business is at a high level. These and other factors have positively influenced its good positioning on the retail food market in Serbia.

The article is devoted to the problem of multi-criteria decision-making. Methods for solving this problem can be divided into two large groups:methods using the aggregation of all alternatives according to all criteria and the solution of the resulting single-criterion problem. The second group isassociated with the procedure of pairwise comparisons and stepwise aggregation. The first group includes methods: weighted average sum, product and their various modifications, the second group includes - AHP, ELECTRE, TOPSIS, PROMETHEE, ELECTRE. For many problemsassessment of the criteria implemented by experts and presented in linguistic form. The effective approach for dealing with linguistic information is fuzzyset theory proposed by L. Zadeh. In this paper is proposed fuzzy ELECTRE method. This method is presented in details. As application problem is usedthe equipment selection problem The issues of practical implementation of this method are discussed in details. The results of the solution test problem at all stages are presented.

Human resource management (HR) is important to achieve company goals. One of the activities in HR management is recruitment, selection, and training. Recruitment and selection are usually carried out without using a system so that the calculations are still done manually. However, by processing data using the system, it can produce a decision in recommending prospective employees who can have a positive impact on the company. The company selection process is carried out in two stages, namely official selection and final selection in the form of psychological tests, interviews, ability tests, and communication. The use of the Elimination Et Choix Traduisant La Realite (ELECTRE) method at the official selection stage and the Weighted Product (WP) method at the final selection stage is a discovery made to obtain the best decision according to the required criteria. By using this method, the final result will be obtained, namely recommendations from several prospective employees who are fit to work in the company. The results of this system performance reached one hundred percent; the data from the system is in accordance with the expected calculations.

In the world of education, scholarships are financing or subsidies provided by the government, companies, universities, and other educational institutions. This study aims to design and build a decision support system to assist and facilitate the school in determining prospective recipients of scholarship assistance for poor and high achievers with the criteria determined by the scholarship organizer. With this, the researcher designed and built a decision support system using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method which was then compared by the Imple Additive Weighting (SAW) and Elimination Et Choix Traduisant la Realite (ELECTRE) method. So that the results of the design of this system are able to assist in determining prospective scholarship recipients. The comparison of the 3 methods shows the results of the ranking of criteria that are slightly different, but basically, the 3 methods can be used properly to solve the problem of determining the scholarship recipient. Keywords:Support System, Analytical Hierarchy Proses (AHP), Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) dan Elimation Et Choix Traduisant la Realite (ELECTRE).
