Abstract Soybean (Glycine max L.) is annual crop that have high morphologies and yield components diversity. The research was conducted at the first season of 2011, the objective of the research were to find morphological, yield, and yield component of Soybean germplasm (Glicine max L.). The research was carried out at experimental station BB-BIOGEN Citayam, Depok, and laboratory of Gene Bank BB-BIOGEN. The experiment used randomized block design with 100 different accessions and three replications for each accession. Based on the observation, the morphological characters have many visual forms. They are as follows: growth percentage in which 19.33 – 99%; growth types were determinate and indeterminate, the leave form was triangle to sharp; purple and white flowers; yellow and black seeds color. The range of values for each characteristic component are as follows: plant height 29,23 – 104,25 cm; number of pods per plant was 23,6 – 99,82; flowering time 33 – 47 days after planting; 100 seed weight 5,98 – 20,77 gram; maturing time 75 – 96,67 days after planting; root nodule’s weight 0,004 – 0,109 gram; seed’s weight 3,15 – 11,45 gram/plant. Among the accessions, the highest yield was shown by B 4323 (643,27 gram/3,6 m2). Significant correlation was shown between soybean’s yield components and yield which were plant’s height, growth percentage, numbers of main stem’s node, numbers of pods, seeds weight for each plant and root nodule’s weight. 100 seeds weight showed significant negative correlation with soybean components.   Key words: germplasm, morphological characteristics, soybean, yield components

The experiment was conducted to find out the influence of phosphorus (P) on growth and yield of soybean (Glycine max L., variety: G-2). The treatments were: control (P1) and with the application of 50% (P2), 75 % (P3), 100 % (P4), 125 % (P5) and 150 % (P6) of the BARC recommended dose of P. Nitrogen, K and S were applied as blanket as per BARC recommendation. Seeds were inoculated with Bradyrhizobium inoculum before sowing. All the treatments of P application showed higher growth than that of the control. P5 treatment (11.25 kg P ha-1) showed maximum growth and yield, which was 84.73% higher than that of control. The yield changed as a parabola curve with the increase of P application. The yield component, namely number of pods plant-1, number of seeds pod-1, pod weight plant-1 and number of seed plant-1 increased with the increase of P levels up to 11.25 kg P ha-1. The application of P at 11.25 kg ha-1 (25% higher over BARC recommendation) produced the highest seed yield of soybean (7.50 g plant-1). So, for better yield of soybean in silty clay loam soil of Jahangirnagar University farm, application of P should be increased 25 % higher over BARC recommendation.Key words: Soybean, Phosphorus, Growth, YieldDOI = 10.3329/bjsir.v43i3.1151Bangladesh J. Soybean is a type of secondary crop that is widely cultivated and used as raw material for tofu, tempe, milk, and so on by the people of Indonesia. Soybean consumption is always increasing but soybean production has decreased. This study aims to obtain the optimum dose of Bokashi fertilizer on plant growth and yield in Ultisol. The study was carried out in Medan Baru, Kandang Limun Village, Muara Bangkahulu District, Bengkulu City from December 2018 to April 2019. This study used a Completely Randomized Block Design (RCBD) with one factor, namely the dose of Bokashi fertilizer with five levels, namely 0 tons ha-1, 25 tons ha-1, 35 tons ha-1, 45 tons ha-1, and 55 tons ha-1. The results showed that the optimum dose of Bokashi fertilizer was not found in the growth component or yield component. The dose of Bokashi fertilizer had a significant effect (p<0.05) on the growth of Bokashi and the number of leaves.

The legume seed coat is the site of sucrose unloading and the metabolism of imported ureides and synthesis of amino acids for the developing embryo. The cell types directly responsible for these functions in the seed coat are not known. We recently described a convex layer of tissue on the inside surface of the soybean (Glycine max L. Merr.) seed coat that was termed “antipit” because it was in direct opposition to the concave pit on the abaxial surface of the cotyledon. Cone cells of the antipit contained numerous hypertrophied Golgi apparatus and laminated rough endoplasmic reticulum common to actively secreting cells. The initial report by Dzikowski (1936) described the morphology of the pit and antipit in G. max and found these structures in only 68 of the 169 seed accessions examined.

Penelitian tentang pengaruh pemberian Pupuk organik cair (POC) asal limbah tumbuhan terhadap serapan hara N dan P serta produksi tanaman kedelai (Glycine max (L) Merrill) di lahan gambut telah dilaksanakan di kampus II Unisi Fakultas Pertanian Jl. Lintas Propinsi Parit 01, Desa Pulau Palas, Kecamatan Tembilahan Hulu, Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Propinsi Riau. Dimulai dari bulan Agustus sampai bulan Oktober 2013. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan POC asal limbah tumbuhan yang terbaik untuk serapan hara N dan P serta produksi tanaman kedelai di lahan gambut. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal dengan 7 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, 2 tanaman dijadikan sampel. Perlakuan dosis POC limbah tanaman pisang dan POC limbah sayur kol yang diberikan yaitu 0 L/Ha, 200 L/Ha, 400 L/Ha dan 600 L/Ha. Parameter pengamatan yaitu : serapan hara N dan P pada fase awal generatif, tinggi tanaman, jumlah bintil akar, polong hampa, produksi perplot, berat 100 biji dan brangkasan kering. Data pengamatan dianalisis dengan sidik ragam (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Lanjut Tukey HSD pada taraf 5%. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian POC asal limbah tumbuhan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap serapan hara N dan P, tinggi tanaman, jumlah bintil akar, polong hampa, brangkasan kering tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi perplot dan berat 100 biji.
