Descritores: Parto Humanizado; Humanização; Parto Normal; Cuidados de Enfermagem; Enfermagem Obstétrica; Enfermagem.ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze the humanization actions performed by nurses in the assistance to delivery and childbirth. Method: quantitative, field, descriptive and exploratory study, conducted with 30 nurses who work at the Integrated Health Center. The collection of information occurred through a questionnaire. Data were consolidated descriptively and absolutely and presented in tables. Results: the nurses recognize that humanization programs bring benefits to pregnant women, to newborns and their families. However, the professionals reported that 63% of parturients have resistance and, thus, do not cooperate with the recommendations and 73% of nurses responded that the lack of knowledge and/or the callousness of some health professionals regarding the importance of the humanization of childbirth leads to a resistance in performing a humanized quality. Conclusion: nurses have limits to implement humanized actions in the assistance to childbirth such as physical structure; inadequate accommodation; ineffective nursing team dimensioning; insufficient material resources; overcrowding; desensitized professionals and the parturient’s resistance to collaborate with certain situations. Objective: To evaluate the adhesion rate to the hand hygiene practice and the application of the technique among the professionals at a Health Center. Method: This is an exploratory study of a quantitative character made from a questionnaire that evaluates technique, time, solutions used, and professionals’ adhesion to the hand hygiene practice. Results: 44 health professionals were evaluated in 90 hand hygiene opportunities, with P=0.026, showing low adherence of professionals. The nurses were the professionals who most adhered to the practice without considering the correct technique (64%). The average time for hand hygiene was 20-30 seconds, and in 13 times the hands were sanitized using only water. Conclusion: Professionals did not adhere to hand hygiene in a satisfactory way, thus, health education, based on the results found and considering the difficulties of the place, can become a solution strategy.

Método: estudo qualitativo, descritivo, exploratório, desenvolvido no SAMU. ABSTRACT Objectives: to analyze palliative care production developed by health professionals to home care patients. Methods: this is an exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, using the transpersonal care theoretical framework. Thirteen interviews were conducted with health professionals and 18 observations were conducted on different cases. Content analysis was performed using MAXQDA©. Results: actions performed: maintenance and follow-up measures to people eligible for palliative care, in acts of dialogue and "listening" to caregivers and users, conducting guidelines for the care and self-care process, performing technical procedures, delivery of materials, referrals and medical prescriptions to users. Final Considerations: it is perceived the need for advances in the implementation of government policies in Brazil that insert palliative care into the Health Care Network through educational, managerial and care actions that ensure human dignity, thus allowing the development of these and other palliative care interventions.

ABSTRACT Objective: To know the perception of health professionals and their families about fake news related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: Descriptive-exploratory study with a qualitative approach. Twenty-eight individuals participated, including seven physicians, seven nurses, and 14 family members. Data collection took place between August and October 2020, with audio-recorded interviews. After transcription, the content was analyzed using Content Analysis, thematic modality. Results: Three categories were identified: “Context of the occurrence and dissemination of fake news in times of pandemic”; “Consequences of fake news on the experience of the pandemic”; and “Coping strategies to contain/combat fake news”. Conclusion: Sociocultural, political, educational, and technological aspects influence the occurrence and dissemination of fake news, which have consequences such as: misinformation, self-medication, worsening in the professional-patient relationship, increased need for additional research, and fear in the population. To face the current situation, greater control by the State is required, with investigation and punishment of people who disseminate fake news, as well as greater awareness among the population on the subject.

Hospital accreditation, as a quality signal, is gaining its popularity among low- and middle-income countries, such as Romania, despite its costly nature. Nevertheless, its effectiveness as a quality signal in driving patients’ choice of hospital services remains unclear. In this study, we intend to empirically explore the perceptions of both healthcare professionals and patients toward Romanian hospital accreditation and identify perception gaps between the two parties. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were carried out to extract the latent constructs of health professionals’ perceived effects of hospital accreditation. The Wilcoxon rank-sum test and Kruskal–Wallis test were used to identify correlations between patients’ sociodemographic characteristics and their behavioral intentions when confronted with low-quality services. We found that health professionals believe that hospital accreditation plays a positive role in improving patient satisfaction, institutional reputation, and healthcare services quality. However, we found a lack of awareness of hospital accreditation status among patients, indicating the existence of the perception gap of the accreditation effectiveness as a market signal. Our results suggest that the effect of interpersonal trust in current service providers may distract patients from the accreditation status. Our study provides important practical implications for Romanian hospitals on enhancing the quality of accreditation signal and suggests practical interventions.
