This paper presents a comparison of field data processing methods used to evaluate topographic effects. A data set of 52 weak motion events recorded using a dense array of seismometers located on steep, complex topography is analyzed. Both time domain and frequency domain analysis methods are evaluated for effectiveness at resolving the amplitude and frequency range associated with topographic effects. Results from this study indicate the median reference method (MRM) provides a more stable estimate of the frequency range and expected amplification value than the standard spectral ratio (SSR) or horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio (HVSR) methods.

Abstract. We report on data from an oceanographic cruise, covering western, central and eastern parts of the Mediterranean Sea, on the French research vessel Tethys 2 in May 2015. This cruise was fully dedicated to the maintenance and the metrological verification of a biogeochemical observing system based on a fleet of BGC-Argo floats. During the cruise, a comprehensive data set of parameters sensed by the autonomous network was collected. The measurements include ocean currents, seawater salinity and temperature, and concentrations of inorganic nutrients, dissolved oxygen and chlorophyll pigments. The analytical protocols and data processing methods are detailed, together with a first assessment of the calibration state for all the sensors deployed during the cruise. Data collected at stations are available at https://doi.org/10.17882/51678 and data collected along the ship track are available at https://doi.org/10.17882/51691.

The peculiarities of using mathematical and statistical data processing methods in studying the intensification in the process of sintering a ceramic material with a high content of high-calcium waste, and mineralizing sintering lithium-containing waste were studied. The region of optimal ceramic masses composition, which allows obtaining ceramic tiles with high functional properties, was defined.
