The crystal structure of the title complex, [Cu(C5H7O2)I(C10H8N2)], in the space groupP\overline{1} withZ= 4, is stabilized by π–π interactions and weak C—H...I interactions. The presence of two molecules in the asymmetric unit is associated with different intermolecular π–π interactions between two symmetry-related molecules of each type.

The crystal structure of the title compound, C9H6OS2, represents a new polymorph. The crystal structure was solved in the orthorhombic space groupPbcnwith one half of the molecule in the asymmetric unit. The thiophene rings are perfectly planar and twisted with respect to each other, showing the molecule to be in an S,O-trans/S,O-transconformation. In the crystal, C—H...O hydrogen bonds connect the molecules into layers extending parallel to theabplane. The crystal structure also features π–π interactions.

The title compound, C6H4BrNS, crystallizes in the space group P21/n with one complete molecule in the asymmetric unit. The non-H atoms are nearly planar (r.m.s for non-H atoms = 0.071 Å), with the nitrile group oriented antiperiplanar with respect to the thiophene S atom. Intermolecular Type I centrosymmetric Br...Br halogen interactions are present at a distance of 3.582 (1) Å and with a C—Br...Br angle of 140.7 (1)°. Additional weaker C—H...N, C—H...S, and S...π interactions are also present. A Hirshfeld analysis indicates Br...Br interactions comprise only 1.9% of all the interatomic contacts.

The title compounds, C23H25Br2NO2 (1) and C31H29BrN2O4 (2), crystallize in the space group P21/n with two (1-A and 1-B) and one molecules, respectively, in the asymmetric unit of the cell. The molecular conformation of these compounds is stabilized by intramolecular C—H...O hydrogen bonds and C—H...N or C—H...π interactions. The crystal structure of 1 features a relatively strong Br...O=C halogen bond, which is not observed in the case of 2. Both crystal structures are characterized by the presence of C—H...Br hydrogen bonds and numerous intermolecular C—H...O hydrogen-bonding interactions.

The title complex, [Fe4(C5H7O2)4(CH3O)6Cl2] or [Fe4(acac)4(μ2-OMe)4(μ3-OMe)2Cl2] (acac = acetylacetonate), crystallizes in the orthorhombicPbcaspace group with one half of the molecule per asymmetric unit, the other half being completed by inversion symmetry. The core structure consists of a face-sharing double pseudo-cubane entity with two opposite corners missing. Weak C—H...Cl intermolecular interactions result in a two-dimensional layered structure parallel to theacplane.

In the mononuclear title complex, [Co(N3)2(C12H8N4S)2], the cobalt(II) atom is located on an inversion centre and displays an axially weakly compressed octahedral coordination geometry. The equatorial positions are occupied by the N atoms of two 2,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole ligands, whereas the axial positions are occupied by N atoms of the azide anions. The thiadiazole and pyridine rings linked to the metal are almost coplanar, with a maximum deviation from the mean plane of 0.0273 (16) Å. The cohesion of the crystal is ensured by weak C—H...N hydrogen bonds and by π–π interactions between pyridine rings [intercentroid distance = 3.6356 (11) Å], forming a layered arrangement parallel to (001). The structure of the title compound is isotypic with that of the analogous nickel(II) complex [Laachiret al.(2013).Acta Cryst.E69, m351–m352].

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C56H50N6O8S2·3C6H4Cl2, contains two half-molecules of the parent,AandB, which both have crystallographic inversion symmetry, together with three 2,3-dichlorobenzene molecules of solvation. MoleculesAandBare conformationally similar, with dihedral angles between the central naphthalenediimide ring and the peripheral naphthalene and benzyl rings of 2.43 (7), 81.87 (7)° (A) and 3.95 (7), 84.88 (7)° (B), respectively. The conformations are stabilized by the presence of intramolecular π–π interactions between the naphthalene ring and the six-membered diimide ring of the central naphthalenediimide moiety, with ring centroid-to-centroid distances of 3.5795 (8) Å (A) and 3.5640 (8) Å (B). In the crystal, C—H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into infinite supramolecular chains along thecaxis. These chains are interconnected through C—H...π and offset π–π interactions, generating supramolecular nanotubes which are filled by 1,2-dichlorobenzene molecules.

The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Pd(C15H13FNO)2], contains one half of the molecule with the PdIIcation lying on an inversion centre and is coordinated by the bidentate Schiff base anion. The geometry around the cationic PdIIcentre is distorted square planar, chelated by the imine N- and phenolate O-donor atoms of the two Schiff base ligands. The N- and O-donor atoms of the two ligands are mutuallytrans, with Pd—N and Pd—O bond lengths of 2.028 (2) and 1.9770 (18) Å, respectively. The fluorophenyl ring is tilted away from the coordination plane and makes a dihedral angle of 66.2 (2)° with the phenolate ring. In the crystal, molecules are linked into chains along the [101] direction by weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds. Weak π–π interactions with centroid–centroid distances of 4.079 (2) Å stack the molecules alongc.

The binuclear title complex, di-μ-iodido-bis({2-[(benzylamino-κN)methyl]phenyl-κC1}palladium(II)), [Pd2I2(C14H14N)2], was prepared by reaction of [Pd{C6H4(CH2NHCH2Ph)-2}(μ-OAc)]2with NaI. It crystallizes with one discrete molecule in the asymmetric unit. The molecule presents an iodide-bridged dimeric structure with acisoidarrangement with respect to theC,N-cyclopalladated ligands. Both PdIIatoms have a slightly distorted square-planar coordination environment. Weak intermolecular contacts of the type C—H...Pd seem to have a significant influence on the arrangement of the molecules along thebaxis in the crystal.

Abstract Benzo-18 -crown-6 -Acetonitrile (1/2), Crystal Structure Single crystals of the title complex resulted fortuitously during an attempt to co-crystallise MeN(SO2Me)2 with benzo-18-crown-6 from an MeCN solution at -30 °C. The crystal structure has been determined via data collection at -100 °C (monoclinic, space group P21/n, Z = 4). The nitrile molecules are located with their me­ thyl groups above and below the plane of the 18-membered crown ring, the Me hydrogen atoms being rotationally disordered about the MeCN axes; C(methyl)···O(crown) distances range from 309.4(3) to 384.9(3) pm.
