Получены математические модели расчета отношений сигнал/шум и несущая/шум, требуемые для обеспечения заданной вероятности ошибки на выходе декодера с «мягким» решением, без необходимости вычисления коэффициентов спектра сверточного кода и выполнения процедур компьютерного моделирования характеристик помехоустойчивости. Приведены расчетные выражения для определения исправляющей способности декодера, энергетического выигрыша от кодирования и информационной эффективности систем связи в зависимости от параметров многопозиционных видов модуляции, сверточного кодирования и вероятности ошибки в информационном бите. По полученным аналитическим моделям построены зависимости и дана оценка результатов исследований. Mathematical models are obtained for calculating signal-to-noise and carrier-to-noise ratios required to provide a given error probability at the decoder output with a “soft” solution and without calculating the convolutional code spectrum coefficients and performing computer simulations of noise immunity characteristics. Calculation expressions are given to determine the correcting ability of the decoder, the energy gain from coding, and the information efficiency of communication systems depending on the parameters of multi-position types of modulation, convolutional coding, and the probability of error in the information bit. Dependencies are constructed according to the obtained analytical models and the research results are evaluated.

This paper mainly introduces the basic principles of BCH code, which is a type of error control codes. The error control system is an important method to improve the communication transmission system. Communication system that containing BPSK modulation is built by MATLAB and through simulating and analyzing the performance of BCH communication systems, it was discovered that the BCH code transmission characteristic has significant gain. This paper provides the theory basis for the projects that contain BCH code.


The main aim with any modern digital communication systems is to provide error free data transmission. To achieve this aim, error control coding techniques are applied with these systems. In this paper, digital communication system was implemented based on convolutional code, aided by soft-bit decoding for error free transmission. Fixed length source encoder was represented with this work, and statistically described the output of the source encoder and save this description at the receiver as a priori knowledge about the source encode. These a priori knowledge were exploited at the receiver to improve the performance of the proposed system in term of BER by conceal the errors occurred through the transmission of information over AWGN channel, aided the convolutional encoder. Significant improvements were obtained with this proposed system.

This chapter explores some of the consequences of strategies used to develop electronic standards in healthcare, especially the consequences of electronic standards for communication work. The two standardization strategies explored are the prototype strategy used to develop intranet applications and the specification strategy used to develop Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) in healthcare. It was found that computer systems based on different electronic standards intervene in work in different ways, and that they do not always intervene in the ways they were initially intended. For example, the PACS based on the DICOM standard have primarily attained a local role, although its initial aim was to support universal image communication within healthcare. On the other hand the intranet application based on the Internet standards primarily not designed for this particular purpose has come to support communication of images and reports within the heterogeneous hospital network.

Nowadays, fifth generation (5G) wireless network is considered one of the most important research topics in wireless industry and it will be substituting with fourth generation (4G) in several aspects. Although the robustness of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system against channel delays which is the reason behind using it in LTE/LTE Advanced however, it is suffering from high peak to average power ration (PAPR) and out of band side lobes. So, universal filtered multi-carrier (UFMC) technique is considered a new modulation scheme for 5G wireless communication system to overcome on the common OFDM demits. In contrast, to achieve reliable data transmission in digital communication systems, using error correcting codes are considered an essential over noisy channels. In this paper, BCH code has been used for UFMC system over AWGN. The results showed that using BCH codes in UFMC contributed in enhancing BER performance while could decreasing both of PAPR and OOBE values better than conventional OFDM system.
