<div style="text-align: justify;">This research is motivated by the importance of knowing an Islamic great day calendar on AD calendar. It was intended to answer the question: How to design converter Hijri calendar to AD calendar for determining Islamic great days using Matlab? The research used ‘design’ method, because it was one of activities to translate the result of analysis to software form and also used to develop an existing application. This application made by a Matlab software. Matlab was a conversion tool to determine Islamic great days. Data of this research was obtained from questionnaire. And all the questionnaire datum was used to design application. The technique of feasibility analysis application was obtained from a validation. It was using black-box method. The result showed that the application was made by three ways: First, making an appearance in GUI Matlab appropriate with interface design application. Second, entering the script in each menu of application. Third, entering JD formula in application that were already functioning. ©2016 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved.</div>

The main problems of current system in agriculture ministry is sub-optimal information retrieval of realization and development of agriculture capital and production facilities subvention. Therefore, this research aims to analyze and design information system for monitoring and evaluation of subvention of agriculture capital and production facilities. This information system is developed based on internet technology to help the main team (agriculture minister and technical team of directorate agriculture department), coach team of provincial agriculture office, and technical team of district/city agriculture office to access the accurate information related realization and development of agriculture business any where and any time. It is designed with OOAD (object oriented analysis and design) method by using UML notation (use case diagram, class diagram, component architecture and user interface design). This research produces a design of information system for subvention monitoring and evaluation of agriculture capital and production facilities for the ministry of agriculture RI.

Mobile Siaran is an official reporting application intended for the people of the city of Tangerang Selatan (South Tangerang). However, after conducting interviews with stakeholders and respondents, there were several problems with the display of the mobile application. From the results of the interview, it indicates that there are still some applications that need improvement. To fix the problem with the Mobile Siaran application display, the solution given is to improve the user interface design using the Goal Direct Design method. In addition, it also uses the success rate calculation technique and the System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure the usability value. Meanwhile, the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) measures the value of user experience. The result of this research is a user interface design made in stages in the Goal Direct Design method, namely research, modeling, requirements, frameworks, and refinement. The final evaluation, the results of the improvement using calculations, the success rate has increased from 93.5% to 99.3%, SUS from an average score of 58.19 which can be said to be quite satisfactory with the letter D value to 81.83 which can be accepted with the value of the letter A, while UEQ shows all aspects that have improved with very good and good criteria which means that improvements to user interface design can solve problems that exist in the application and improve the user experience.

In this chapter, we present a design approach for the interface of rich Internet applications, that is, those Web applications in which the conventional hypermedia paradigm has been improved with rich interaction styles. Our approach combines well-known techniques for advanced separation of concerns such as aspect-oriented software design, with the object oriented hypermedia design method (OOHDM) design model allowing to express in a high level way the structure and behaviours of the user interface as oblivious compositions of simpler interface atoms. Using simple illustrative examples we present the rationale of our approach, its core stages and the way it is integrated into the OOHDM. Some implementation issues are finally analyzed.
