This paper presents a single mode pseudo-elliptic bandpass resonator based on closed-loop ring topology. The resonator is built from six quarter wavelength transmission lines to form a square closed-loop ring structure. This structure creates transmission zeros at the lower and upper sidebands so that high selectivity bandpass filter response is achieved. The advantage of this topology is that the design is less complex since no perturbation is needed on the ring lines for creation of transmission zeros. Higher-order filters can be constructed by introducing quarter-wavelength coupled-lines, coupled at both input and output of the closed-loop ring resonator. For proof of concept, the filters are designed at 10 GHz up to 3rd order, simulated using full-wave electromagnetic simulator on microstrip substrate, FR-4 with characteristics given as Ԑr = 4.70, h = 1.499 mm and tan δ = 0.012. The filters are simulated and responses are found to be agreeable with the proposed idea.

This paper presents new compact bandstop filters (BSFs) with extended upper passbands. In the basic proposed filter configuration, the conventional quarter-wavelength open-stub resonators are replaced with equivalent two-section stepped impedance resonators. Transmission line analysis is used to determine the dimensions of the equivalent stepped impedance sections. The filter structure is analyzed using a full wave electromagnetic (EM) simulator and then realized at 2.3 GHz band. Experiments have also been done to validate the performance of the design concept. Compared with the conventional quarter-wavelength-based bandstop filter, significant extensions of the upper passband beyond 9 GHz and 40% size reduction are achieved. Two other variations of the proposed basic BSF with further size reduction (more than 60%) are implemented and their measured performances are verified.

Sedangkan untuk isolasi dari port Tx-port Rx dihasilkan sebesar 15 dB.Kata kunci: Duplexer, Bandstop Filter, Split Ring Resonator, Hybrid Coupler, dan Long Term Evolution.ABSTRACTThe necessary of mobile communication has increased in technology, now it released the new of technology is Long Term Evolution (LTE). Type of duplex is Frequency Division Duplex (FDD), designed a duplexer which it is capable for transmitting and receiving process at the same time with the different of frequency between uplink and downlink. Research of designed and implemented a duplexer using Hybrid Coupler and Bandstop filters based on Split Ring Resonators for the frequency band 7th on LTE technology at Base Transceiver Station (BTS). Duplexer is made by combining two coupler and two bandstop filter. The results of duplexer measurements, when Tx port transmit the signal to antenna port with attenuation at the downlink frequency center at 3.168 dB. Attenuation from antenna port to Rx port about 6 dB. Isolation between Tx port and Rx port about 15 dB.Keywords: Duplexer, Bandstop Filter, Split Ring Resonator, Hybrid Coupler, and Long Term Evolution.
