Os métodos tradicionais de solução de problemas, caracterizados como intuitivos e sistemáticos, nem sempre conseguem fornecer soluções criativas e inovadoras, elementos fundamentais para um negócio bem-sucedido. O objetivo deste artigo é propor uma reflexão sobre a Teoria da Solução Inventiva de Problemas (TRIZ) e uma aplicação dessa teoria, por meio de consultoria, no design educacional de um programa de Educação a Distância. O artigo está dividido nos seguintes itens: definição da teoria TRIZ, descrição de um estudo de caso que utilizou a TRIZ via aplicabilidade de ferramentas conhecidas como Nine Windows (Nove Janelas) e análise dos resultados obtidos, que geraram um produto com inovação incremental. Palavras-chave: TRIZ, Educação a Distância, Inovação, Criatividade, Nine Windows. The Art of Innovating in Distance Education  AbstractTraditional methods of problem solving, characterized as intuitive and systematic, may not always provide creative and innovative solutions, key elements for a successful business. The aim of this paper is to propose a reflection on the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) and an application of this theory through a consultancy in educational design of a Distance Education program. Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo investigar como ocorre o ensino de teclado a distância, no âmbito do curso de licenciatura em Música a distância da Universidade de Brasília (UnB), assim como a utilização das tecnologias digitais nessa modalidade de ensino. A metodologia adotada foi o estudo de caso e os dados foram obtidos a partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas com os professores responsáveis pela criação das disciplinas de teclado do referido curso. Verificou-se que o ensino de teclado a distância ocorre prioritariamente de modo assíncrono entre professor e aluno por meio de materiais pedagógicos, produzidos previamente e veiculados por meio da combinação de diversas mídias digitais. O emprego das tecnologias digitais no ensino a distância é massivo e sua utilização, por vezes, é aleatória. Apesar de a interação entre professor e aluno ocorrer majoritariamente assincronamente, em detrimento das formas síncronas de comunicação, o aprendizado do teclado é viável para a finalidade a que se dispõe: ter o instrumento de teclas para ensinar e fazer música.Palavras-chave: Educação a distância; Educação musical a distância; Docência on-line; Tecnologias digitais. The Online Teaching: A Case in Teaching of Keyboard in Distance Music Degree of UnBAbstract This research aimed to investigate how teaching keyboard at distance occurs in Music distance education program at University of Brasília (UnB), as well as the use of digital technologies in this modality of teaching. The methodology adopted was the case study and data was obtained from semi-structured interviews with the teachers responsible for the elaboration of keyboard courses from the refered program. It was found that the teaching of keyboard at distance occurs primarily asynchronously between teacher and students and through the learning materials produced in advance and broadcasted through a combination of various digital media. The use of digital technologies is massive and its use sometimes is random. Although the interaction between teacher and student occurs mostly asynchronously to the detriment of synchronous forms of communication, learning keyboard is viable for the proposed goal: have keyboard instrument as a tool to teach and to make music.Keywords: Distance education; Music distance education; On-line teaching; Digital technologies.

As more emphasis is placed on offering education to the distance student and monies are spent to provide these services, institutions must ensure they reap the rewards of the investment. One avenue to ensure success in distance education is the implementation of strong student support services. This is a task that will take the teamwork of educators, administrators, instructional technologists/designers, and support personnel. For institutions transitioning to a distance format, measures must be taken to ensure that the learner, no matter what the method of delivery, has access to equivalent student support services. One approach to measuring this aspect is the determination of student satisfaction with the support services offered to distance students. A study was conducted at a public health sciences research university in the Southeast to determine whether the administrative student support services (library and technical) offered at the institution met the educational needs of allied health students enrolled in a distance education program. Results from student questionnaires were analyzed to determine the satisfaction level of distance students with administrative (library and technical) student support services. Overall responses showed that allied health students enrolled in a distance education program were satisfied with the existing student support services (library and technical) offered by the institution. Narrative responses from the participants reinforced a common theme that although the students were satisfied with the services, more emphasis needed to be placed on library and technical support services that are available to distance education students during the program orientation.
