AbstractThe increasing digitalization and automatization in the manufacturing industry as well as the need to learn on the job has reinforced the need for much more granular learning, which has not yet impacted the design of learning materials. In this regard, granular learning concepts require situated learning materials to support self-directed learning in the workplace in a targeted manner. Co-creation approaches offer promising opportunities to support employees in the independent design of such situated learning materials. Using an action-design research (ADR) approach, we derived requirements from co-creation concepts and practice by conducting focus group workshops in manufacturing and vocational training schools to develop design principles for a co-creation system that supports employees through the creation process of work-process-related learning material. Consequently, we formulate four design principles for the design of a collaborative learning and qualification system for manufacturing. Using an innovative mixed methods approach, we validate these design principles and design features to demonstrate the success of the developed artifact. The results provide insights regarding the design of a co-creation system to support learners in the co-creation of learning material with the consideration of cognitive load (CL). Our study contributes to research and practice by proposing novel design principles for supporting employees in peer creation processes. Furthermore, our study reveals how co-creation systems can support the collaborative development of learning materials in the work process.

ABSTRACTThe research aims to find out information about the learning system applied during the COVID-19 pandemic, information related to the efforts made by education units in Aceh Barat Daya in implementing the policies of the central government and local governments during the learning period of the pandemic and knowing the integration of education related to the COVID-19 pandemic  in the school curriculum. The research method is quantitative with data collection techniques through questionnaires. Furthermore, the data was analyzed and based on the results obtained showed that the learning systems that were generally applied during the pandemic were blended, offline and online learning. Practical learning aktivities during the COVID-19 pandemic are generally carried out  online and offline. Semester exams are generally conducted online. Face-to-face learning is carried out through the division of study groups, while online learning is carried out by utilizing learning applications. Obstacles in implementing learning during the pandemic include difficulties for teachers to monitor the behavior and character of students, students find it difficult to understand learning materials and also limited quotas. The education unit at ABDYA has tried to implement the policies of the central government and local governments while carrying out learning during the pandemic. This can be observed from the efforts of the school in implementing health protocols during learning during the pandemic. In addition, the school also provides free health facilities and infrastructure to school residents. Internet quotas are also provided to overcome the constraints of limited quotas during learning during the pandemic. Education related to the dangers of coronavirus is carried out by the school in various ways, both by socializing the dangers of covid in the school and by teaching teachers to model COVID-19 prevention behavior. Education is also carried out by making disinfectants independently and through social media. Most chemistry teachers consider that COVID-19 education can be inserted into certain sub-learning materials, one of which is through the manufacture of disinfectants and sanitizers independently. Meanwhile, other chemistry teachers argue that teachers can insert covid-19 education in all learning materialsKey words: Learning process, Curriculum integration , Covid-19

Despite its dominance in the field of teaching English as a second/foreign language, the implementation of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach continues to be challenging and problematic. A similar set of constraints – including but not limited to challenges related to educational cultures, contextual and conceptual factors, and lack of authentic materials and facilities – have been reported as factors hindering CLT implementations in many contexts. Language teaching and learning materials and facilities are crucial elements that have been found to affect communicative language teaching implementation. However, the issue of how those material elements can affect CLT implementation has rarely been the focus of research in CLT implementation studies. In this paper, the researcher examines the effect of language teaching and learning materials on teachers’ ability to teach communicatively. Thus, informed by sociomateriality this paper attends to a gap in the literature about how material elements of the curriculum hinder the implementation of the communicative language teaching approach in the Saudi context. The data examined in this study were collected through classroom observations and semi-structured interviews. The analysis of the findings indicated that material elements in the curriculum exerted agency and power, hindering teachers’ ability to teach communicatively and learners’ ability to improve their learning experiences. The report concludes with practical implications related to the complexity of curriculum development and implementation and the emergent nature of such processes as webs of entangled human/nonhuman relations that give rise to education.

Abstract In general, the form of learning at SMK Negeri I Cibinong Bogor is classroom learning using learning strategies and learning materials that refer to learning objectives. The competence of teachers in developing learning materials is considered to be still low, so it is necessary to make a training on Compilation of Compilation Learning Materials for teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Cibinong Bogor. The training was carried out using the method of applying science and technology directly to 55 teachers of public and private vocational schools in Cibinong Bogor using the Zoom application. The training was carried out in two sessions, namely: (1) discussing learning materials as a system, instructional analysis, setting specific instructional objectives, developing learning-outcome test instruments, developing learning strategies; and session (2) discusses theoretical concepts in developing compiled learning materials, preparing syllabus for one semester of subjects, the concept of making pieces of learning materials based on ICT for one semester, compiling pieces of learning materials based on ICT for subjects taught and making slides with MsPowerpoint, and then participants were asked to deliver Compiled Learning Materials complete with slides using MsPowerpoint. The results of the training showed that, in general, the teachers who participated in the training were still not maximal in mastering the following materials: (1) Instructional Analysis; (2) Develop Specific Instructional Objectives (ICT); (3) Developing Learning Outcomes Test Instruments; (4) and Developing Learning Strategies, so that the training objectives for the preparation of Compilation Learning Materials for 55 MPGP Electronics Engineering teachers conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Cibinong Bogor have not been maximally achieved.

AbstractWith the increasing use of digital learning materials in higher education, the accumulated operational log data provide a unique opportunity to analyzing student learning behaviors and their effects on student learning performance to understand how students learn with e-books. Among the students’ reading behaviors interacting with e-book systems, we find that jump-back is a frequent and informative behavior type. In this paper, we aim to understand the student’s intention for a jump-back using user learning log data on the e-book materials of a course in our university. We at first formally define the “jump-back” behaviors that can be detected from the click event stream of slide reading and then systematically study the behaviors from different perspectives on the e-book event stream data. Finally, by sampling 22 learning materials, we identify six reading activity patterns that can explain jump backs. Our analysis provides an approach to enriching the understanding of e-book learning behaviors and informs design implications for e-book systems.

Honest behavior is the key to better education. In this case, education seems to turn a deaf ear to various problems related to honest problems. For that we need a solution to minimize it. A strategic solution to overcome these problems is to carry out civic education learning in elementary schools. The purpose of this research is to apply honest living behavior through civic education learning in elementary schools. In this case, civics education learning in elementary schools is important to be held because it will form a character attitude for students. Meanwhile, this study uses a qualitative method by conducting a literature study on the opinions of the figures and reviewing journals related to the material. The conclusion of this study is that civic education in elementary schools makes students good citizens because the content of the learning materials taught contains the value of character education, one of which is honest behavior.
