Suitability evaluation is the important basis for scientifically determining the direction of land reclamation. This paper deeply elaborates the goal of land reclamation and the principles of suitability evaluation. land reclamation direction of the project area is initially determines to be cultivated land, forest land, grassland and garden plot based on region land-use planning and analysis of natural factors, socio-economic factors, policy factors of the mining area; the evaluation index system including five involved factors is constructed, and the suitability evaluation of evaluation units is carried out by the comprehensive index method and extreme conditions. Based on above-mentioned evaluation, the land reclamation direction of 14 evaluation units are ultimately determined by comprehensive analysis of the local natural conditions, social conditions and so on.

Abstract Mitigation of climate change and adaptation to its effects manifested in increasingly extreme meteorological phenomena are one of the most important contemporary global challenges. In the face of new hazards, numerous measures are taken to adapt environmental components and ventures to climate change, such as the reclamation of degraded areas – recognized as a key adaptation and mitigation action. The success and the property of selecting these measures, including reclamation, requires a detailed recognition of the risk of occurrence of various hazards and of the severity of their consequences in a given area. The study assessed the risk of the climate change impacts on the post-mining area and based on its results an optimal method of reclamation of the “Brzeziny” gravel pit was proposed, aimed at the maximum adaptation of the area to the occurrence of potential climate events. The risk analysis was based on elements of the common risk assessment methodology (CRAM) and enriched with elements of the analytic hierarchy process method (AHP). Moreover, the event tree analysis (ETA) logic technique was used to assess the proposed adaptation measures at the reclamation stage.

Long-term scientific research and production practice show that there are rules to follow in mining influence, but the amount of measurement data collation and analysis not only cost of manpower, material resources, and calculation is very prone to error. Computer to replace manual calculation, not only convenient, quick, efficient, and adopts automatic generation technology by drawing graphs, is unattainable by manual technology. Mine land reclamation in mining subsidence is expected to software research for mining design, mining area coal mine district design, land compensation, land reclamation and comprehensive utilization technology work provides a scientific basis, promote the process of security coal pillar mining, ensures the mine in each work smoothly, improve the economic benefit of mine, to the national economy and the sustainable development of coal industry itself has important significance.

The rapid development of land resources and the sharp growth in demand for land have resulted in land degradation. Therefore, the reclamation, planning and management of such areas, including plans for implementing corresponding measures, are a very important topic at present. Located in the Yangmingshan National Park, the Dayoukeng disused mining area has craters created by volcanic activities and hot springs, and it was once the mining centerpiece of Taiwan. In addition to related literature review and field investigation as well as discussions on the operational procedures of ecological planning methods, this research carried out studies on landscape reclamation cases at home and abroad. Afterward, this research analyzed the land fitness of the Dayoukeng area based on landscape conservation principles. Finally, according to the analysis results, this research proposed land reuse planning principles and concept planning for the landscape reclamation and reuse. Meanwhile, the author expects to build up the experience of this case's research to serve as a reference to the reuse planning of disused mining areas in the future.
