The most traditional way to calculate water hammer in the conical tube is using some small discrete equivalent uniform tubes to replace it. this approximate treatment can not show the much accurate results of the conical tube, but also not reflect the actual physical discontinuities of the system. This paper use finite volume method to integrate water hammer equations in conical tubes on spatial and temporal scales.Compare the results of FVM discrete equations with MOC. Conclusion shows that: the new discrete equations not only has high accuracy and stability in the calculation of water hammer in conical tubes, but also has a simple derivation process and clear physical meanings. This method provides a new way of thinking in water hammer calculation of conical tubes.

This research aims to convey themorphosyntax in Tae’ language.Thisis descriptive qualitativeresearchsupported by library and field method. The library and field research method  aims  to find the detail and complete data. Moreover, the researchanalyzes words, phrases, clauses, and sentences in Tae’ languageas primary data. The results show that there are some features that mark morphosyntax in Tae’ language. They are reduplication process, derivational affixation, and sentence structures that describe the word orders of Tae’ language. Reduplications of Tae’ language are containing of full and partial reduplication. Whereas, thederivational affixations of Tae’ language are containing of prefixes and suffixes. The form of prefixes is ma-, ku-, na- di-, and si-. And, the form of suffixes is –i, - ko, and –mu. Those affixes are derived from derivation process namely the basic construction or sentence structures.

Designing future computer networks dictates an eclectic vision capable of encompassing ideas and concepts developed in contemporary research unfettered by today’s operational and technological constraints. However, unguided by a clear articulation of core design principles, the process of network design may be at stake of falling into similar pitfalls and limitations attributed to current network realizations. This chapter presents CORM: a clean-slate Concern-Oriented Reference Model for architecting future computer networks. CORM stands as a guiding framework from which several network architectures can be derived. CORM represents a pioneering attempt within the network realm, and to the author’s knowledge, CORM is the first reference model that is bio-inspired, accounts for complex system characteristics, and applies a software engineering approach to network design. Moreover, CORM’s derivation process conforms to the Function-Behavior-Structure (FBS) engineering framework, which is credited to be applicable to any engineering discipline for reasoning about, and explaining the process of design.

The mathematical model of vacuum breaker valve is significant to the protection scheme. The more accurate the vacuum breaker valve model, the more reliable the calculation results. In this study, the application conditions of the air valve model are analyzed according to the assumptions used in the derivation, and the contradictions between these assumptions are proposed. Then, according to the different working characteristics between the vacuum breaker valve on the siphon outlet pipe and the air valve, the vacuum breaker valve model is deduced based on the modified assumptions. In the derivation process, the thermodynamic change of the gas in the vacuum breaker valve is assumed to follow the isentropic process rather than an isothermal process, and the water level in the vacuum breaker valve is considered to be changeable. An engineering case is introduced, and the results calculated according to the vacuum breaker valve model are compared with those resulting from the air valve model. The results indicate that the vacuum breaker valve model is suitable for large air mass conditions and can provide a theoretical basis for the numerical simulation and settings of vacuum breaker valves.
