Responding to the fact that software systems become more and more complex and mutable, not only the software-standards-related technologies should be adopted, but the environments for software development and evolution should also be flexible and integratable. These facts make software development and maintenance difficult and costly. In this chapter, we first illustrate the activities and studies for software standards, processes, CASE toolsets, and environments. Then, we propose a process and an environment for evolution-oriented software development, called the PRocess and Agent-based Integrated Software development Environment (PRAISE). PRAISE advocates software development with popular software methodologies, and it uses an XML-based mechanism to unify the various paradigms with different standards. It integrates processes, roles, toolsets, and work products to make software development more efficient. With PRAISE, users are encouraged to adopt familiar mechanisms and formal approaches as they wish. PRAISE maintains the consistency of the paradigms so that users do not need to worry about conflicts with other paradigms that are built in or added later. PRAISE meets the need for evolving software development and maintenance.

The software tools that describe various safety aspects of NPP with VVER reactor have been developed at the Nuclear Safety Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IBRAE RAN). Functionally, the codes can be divided into two groups: the calculation codes that describe separate elements of NPP equipment and/or a group of processes and integrated software systems that allow solving the tasks of the NPP safety assessment in coupled formulation. In particular, IBRAE RAN in cooperation with the nuclear industry organizations has developed the integrated software package SOCRAT designed to analyze the behavior of NPP with VVER at various stages of beyond-design-basis accidents, including the stages of reactor core degradation and long-term melt retention in a core catcher. The general information about development, validation and applications of SOCRAT code is presented and discussed in the paper.





Intodays world, Mobile application plays a very important role to process any type of data in hand. The mobile application is mainly developed for the drivers to work in mobile devices and to run on tablets and smart phones. These applications are used for various purposes like web browsing, calendar, buying music, gaming, traveling, entertainment, social networking and productivity. The mobile applications differ from the integrated software systems found in Personal Computers by its isolated functionality. The motor Car belongs to the mechanical world, and the functionality is not aware by all the drivers, thus it becomes a difficult one to handle it. In the existing system, there is no diagnostic system launched in mobile application for the drivers to find the minor problems in each and every car. There is only a manual book given to the drivers for motorcar by the manufacturer to see how to start a car and the parts of the car are given in detail. There is nothingmentioned about the minor problems that happens in the motorcar and the solution to recover it.To overcome the problems faced by the Drivers on the road and to help them in emergency situation, a Self Detection and recovery system is proposed for the Drivers, especially for the Learning drivers to detect the minorproblems in the vehicles and also to recover from those problems by using this automized smart system. Through this smart mobile application, the driver can find solutions for all the minor problems faced in the motorcar. The driver will be aware of exact fault and the driver can take necessary action accordingly. The proposed system acts as a good driver friendly interface for any Driver to detect the minor problem easily by using the alert signals and also to recover from these problems easily by searching through the terms, which usually denote the type of the problem and it accordingly find out the solutions, which would be highly helpful to proceed without interruption. The proposed system a low cost application wherein the driver has to sign up and find the solutions to the problems. This mobile application is secured because only the authorized driver can login and see the solutions but not by anyone else. This application gives the correct and exact solution to all the minor problems encountered by the mobile driver.

This paper presents the motivations, experiences and results of teaching integrated Software Engineering (SE) and Knowledge Engineering (KE), specifically as part of the master course organized by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (School of Computer Science). The paper outlines a possible approach to this instruction, whose aim is for software practitioners thus educated to have a flexible and moldable view of the software systems development process. This broad and malleable approach allows future practitioners to better address the increasingly more complex, divergent and innovative problems and needs raised by users. This approach is the result of a gradual and continuous process. This paper discusses the current stage of integration, giving a detailed description and justification of the scope of the integrated instruction. For the purpose of quantitatively analyzing this experience, the paper also shows the results of the evaluation conducted throughout this process at three levels (industry, students and projects).

The actuality that SHCAN2000 system relies on FIX configuration software has limited its application scope significantly. In this paper, the interface card what accord with OPC specification was realized through applying LM3S8962 microcontroller and OPC technology, the opening performance of data acquisition system was greatly improved, which can effectively avoid the repeatability of development process and incompatibility of many integrated software systems, at the same time, the standardization of hardware and software was also fulfilled the requirements. The improved Field Bus control system has a broader application prospect in industrial control field.
