Abstract Distributed computing includes putting aside the data utilizing outsider storage and being able to get to this information from a place at any time. Due to the advancement of distributed computing and databases, high critical data are put in databases. However, the information is saved in outsourced services like Database as a Service (DaaS), security issues are raised from both server and client-side. Also, query processing on the database by different clients through the time-consuming methods and shared resources environment may cause inefficient data processing and retrieval. Secure and efficient data regaining can be obtained with the help of an efficient data processing algorithm among different clients. This method proposes a well-organized through an Efficient Secure Query Processing Algorithm (ESQPA) for query processing efficiently by utilizing the concepts of data compression before sending the encrypted results from the server to clients. We have addressed security issues through securing the data at the server-side by an encrypted database using CryptDB. Encryption techniques have recently been proposed to present clients with confidentiality in terms of cloud storage. This method allows the queries to be processed using encrypted data without decryption. To analyze the performance of ESQPA, it is compared with the current query processing algorithm in CryptDB. Results have proven the efficiency of storage space is less and it saves up to 63% of its space.

To identify the causes of performance problems or to predict process behavior, it is essential to have correct and complete event data. This is particularly important for distributed systems with shared resources, e.g., one case can block another case competing for the same machine, leading to inter-case dependencies in performance. However, due to a variety of reasons, real-life systems often record only a subset of all events taking place. To understand and analyze the behavior and performance of processes with shared resources, we aim to reconstruct bounds for timestamps of events in a case that must have happened but were not recorded by inference over events in other cases in the system. We formulate and solve the problem by systematically introducing multi-entity concepts in event logs and process models. We introduce a partial-order based model of a multi-entity event log and a corresponding compositional model for multi-entity processes. We define PQR-systems as a special class of multi-entity processes with shared resources and queues. We then study the problem of inferring from an incomplete event log unobserved events and their timestamps that are globally consistent with a PQR-system. We solve the problem by reconstructing unobserved traces of resources and queues according to the PQR-model and derive bounds for their timestamps using a linear program. While the problem is illustrated for material handling systems like baggage handling systems in airports, the approach can be applied to other settings where recording is incomplete. The ideas have been implemented in ProM and were evaluated using both synthetic and real-life event logs.

Water diplomacy across international borders can be a useful tool in solving problems related to the shared water resources of the political entities involved, especially when the interests of the countries are diverse. Water disputes can likely lead to potential conflicts if not properly address in a holistic manner to satisfy all parties concerned. Many discussions about water resources that cut across international borders have focused on their potential for either conflict or cooperation. Africa as a continent with shared resources is not isolated from these enormous challenges concerning the share of natural resources such as water. Africa is generally seen as a fragile region, and the signs of water conflicts in it have begun to appear in clear and dangerous forms. Diplomatic options for settling water disputes and avoiding any potential repercussions seems for the likelihood. Notwithstanding, these options Water Diplomacy has many challenges that limit its effectiveness owing to the deep political tensions among the countries. This study focused on analyzing the concept of water diplomacy and look into the dispute over the share of the Nile River, while highlighting the legitimate right of Egypt, Ethiopia, and Sudan in line with international conventions on water resources.   Received: 24 September 2021 / Accepted: 25 November 2021 / Published: 5 January 2022

Background: Nowadays, there is an immense increase in the demand for high power computation of real-time workloads and the trend towards multi-core and multiprocessor CPUs. The real-time system needs to be implemented upon multiprocessor platforms. Introduction: The nature of processors in an embedded real-time system is changing day by day. The two most significant challenges in a multiprocessor environment are scheduling and synchronization. The popularity of real-time multi-core systems has exploded in recent years, driving the rapid development of a variety of methods for multiprocessor scheduling of essential tasks, on the other hand, these systems have constraints when it comes to maintaining synchronization in order to access shared resources. Method: This research work presents a systematic review of different existing scheduling algorithms and synchronization protocols for shared resources in a real-time multiprocessor environment. The manuscript also presents a study based on various metrics of resource scheduling and comparison among different resource scheduling techniques. Result and Conclusion: The survey classifies open issues, key challenges, and likely useful research directions. Finally, we accept that there is still a lot of capacity in getting better resource management and further maintaining the overall quality. The paper considers such a future path of research in this field.

Abstract Shared resources can instigate pathogen spread due to large congregations of individuals in both natural and human modified resources. Of concern is the addition of pollinator habitat in conservation efforts as it attracts bees of various species, potentially instigating interspecific sharing of pathogens. Common pathogens have been documented across a wide variety of pollinators with shared floral resources instigating their spread in some, but not all, cases. To evaluate the impact of augmented pollinator habitat on bee health, we screened samples from eight bee species across three families against a panel of 9 pathogens using RT-qPCR. While we found that some habitat characteristics influenced pathogen detection, we found no evidence that pathogen detection in one bee species was correlated with pathogen detection in another. These findings suggest factors other than the habitat itself may be more critical in the dissemination of diseases among bee species. However, we found high levels of gut parasites in some bee species which may be of concern, such as Bombus pensylvanicus. Future monitoring of bee health at augmented pollinator habitat is needed to ensure pathogens do not build up over time to then spread within their communities.

Purpose–This study is to explore a way toretainthe strengths and eliminatethe weaknesses of the existingarchitecture oflocal OS and cloud OS,then create an innovativeone, which is referredto as semi-network OS architecture.Method–The elements of semi-network OS architecture includes networkresources, localresources, and semi-mobile hardware resources; among them, networkresources are the expanded portionof OS, which is used to ensure the scalability of OS; local resources are the base portion of OS, which is used to ensure the stability of local computing, as well as the autonomy of user operations; the semi-mobile hardware resource is OSPU, which is used to ensure the positioning and security of dataflow.Results–Thefat client OS relies on the network shared resources,local exclusive resources,and semi-mobilehardware resources (OSPU), not relies solely on a single resource, to perform its tasks on a fat client, in thisarchitecture, most of the system files of OS on a fat client isderived from OS server, which is a network shared resources, and the rest of system files of OS is derived from OSPUof a fat client, which is a non-network resource, so the architecture of OShas "semi-network" attribute, wherein the OSPU is a key subordinate component for data processing and security verification,the OS server is a storage place rather than operating a placeof system files, and system files that stored on a server can only be downloaded to a fat client to carry out their mission.Conclusion–A complete OS is divided into base portion and expanded portion, and this "portion" division of OS enables a fat client to be dually supported by remote network resources and local non-network resources, therefore, it is expected to make a fat client more flexible, safer and more reliable, and more convenient to be operated.

Abstrak Sapi merupakan salah satu peternakan prioritas utama di Indonesia. Ternak sapi telah memainkan peran penting dalam aspek ekonomi dari total pendapatan. Sebagai peternakan prioritas karena berbagai keterlibatan dan peran pemangku kepentingan. Studi dilakukan di Manokwari pada bulan April-Juni 2019 dengan menggunakan focus group discussion terhadap dua puluh individu, kelompok dan lembaga massa yang diwakili. Pertanyaan yang dibahas mengenai latar belakang, pengiriman sumber daya, interkonektivitas antar aktor, intervensi dan inovasi. Temuan utama adalah bahwa aktor yang dikelompokkan mendominasi, diikuti oleh aktor hukum, lembaga swasta, peran pemangku kepentingan dan memiliki efek positif karena kepentingan. Namun, ancaman eksis baik secara langsung tetapi tanpa efek balik. Tiga sumber daya bersama teratas adalah akses, kepuasan, dan waktu yang dihabiskan. Aktor dapat memiliki program jangka panjang dengan keberlanjutan menggunakan sumber daya netral hingga kuat. Hubungan aktor ditemukan dalam tiga kelompok, yaitu positif, negatif dan tidak ada hubungan. Intervensi sangat dibutuhkan, yaitu waktu yang dihabiskan, kepuasan, kebijakan, pengetahuan dan akses. Prioritas inovasi akan keterampilan, kebijakan, dan pengetahuan. Kata kunci: Analisis jaringan pemangku kepentingan; Intervensi dan inovasi; Pelaku; Sumber daya bersama; Usaha peternakan sapi.  .   Abstract Cattle is one of the top priority animal agriculture in Indonesia. It has played significant roles in economical aspect of Total revenues. Those are due to stakeholders’ involvement. Study was done in Manokwari from April to June 2019 by using focus group discussion towards twenty various represented individuals, groups and mass institutions. The queries discussed concerning background, resources delivery, interconnectivity amongst actors, intervention and innovation. The primarily finding is that grouped actors dominated, followed by laws actors, private types institutions, stakeholder role and having positive effect due to importance. However, threat existed directly without turn-back effect. The three top shared resources were access, satisfaction, and time spent. Actors can have long term period program with sustainability using neutral to strong power resource. Relationship of actors found in three groups, i.e. positive, negative and no relationship. Intervention was urgently needed, i.e. time spent, satisfaction, policy, knowledge and access. Priority of innovation will be skills, policy, and knowledge. This article is a bibliographic review and focuses on a brief introduction to Cloud Computing as an innovative educational tool. Cloud technology is rapidly spreading in educational institutions, sometimes replacing the in-house infrastructure with cloud services. Education plays an important role in a country’s economy and today, the educational model in many countries has evolved with technology. Schools and universities in the world extensively use cloud Based Technology. Digital teaching – E-Learning and cloud-based technology are the latest models that have been widely adopted in the educational field. The identified trends in the use of cloud computing in education are clear, ranging from the design of cloud-oriented learning environments for future information technology specialists to the training of information technology specialists to enable them to obtain competencies in the use of cloud technologies. Cloud computing is a distributed computing paradigm, where, instead of acquiring information technology products, users access shared resources under various service models through a network, usually the Internet. The application of cloud computing is very broad and growing daily because of many advantages to the users, and is driven by the increasing use of various mobile devices (laptops, tablets and smartphones) and mobile Internet access being more available. The perspectives of its integration in the learning process are highlighted, as well as the factors that make its implementation difficult. Finally, some general conclusions presented on how technologies should be adopted to meet the educational needs of this new global challenge and some suggestions are made for more effective training through the Cloud Computing, as the need for further research emerges

Mycoplasma bovis is an economically important bacterial pathogen of cattle and bison that most commonly causes pneumonia, polyarthritis and mastitis. M. bovis is prevalent in cattle and commercial bison; however, infections in other host species are rare. In early 2019, we identified the first known cases of M. bovis in free-ranging pronghorn (Antilocapra americana). Here we report on additional pronghorn mortalities caused by M. bovis occurring in the same geographic region of northeastern Wyoming one year later. Genetic analysis by multilocus sequence typing (MLST) revealed that the mortalities were caused by the same M. bovis sequence type, which is unique among all sequence types documented in North America. To determine if pronghorn maintain chronic infections and to assess M. bovis status in other sympatric species, we performed surveillance in free-ranging ungulates. We found no evidence of subclinical infections in pronghorn (n=231) or mule deer (Odocoileus hemionus) (n=231) based on PCR testing of nasal swabs. To assess the likelihood of environmental transmission from livestock to pronghorn, we examined persistence of M. bovis in various substrates and conditions, revealing that M. bovis remains viable for 6 hours following inoculation of shaded water, and up to 3 hours in direct sunlight substrates. Our results indicate that environmental transmission of M. bovis from livestock to pronghorn is possible, and seasonality of infection could be due to shared resources during the late winter. This study also highlights the importance of further investigations to better understand transmission dynamics, to assess population level impacts to pronghorn, and to determine disease risks among other ungulate taxa.

Abstract Condominium houses were one of the housing typologies that differed in administration, shared resources, and activity delivered in the houses. The study focused on the perception of condominiums and the challenges of their sustainability. The researcher followed qualitative and quantitative research approaches in which 357 samples were taken through probability sampling techniques from a total of 3346 condominium residents. Primary data gathered through questionnaires, interviews, and observations, as well as secondary data gathered through document review, were combined and analyzed using SPSS version 20 and presented in a table and wordily with explanations. The finding shows that the residents have a positive perception of condominiums in social and cultural diversification, resource sharing, the accumulation of dry waste, accommodating social services and facilities, and reducing travel costs. On the other hand, they perceived that the quality of house, administration and management system of the resources, local community involvement and infrastructural integration were poor; areas of floor and corridor were not uniform and narrow; the cost and renting were high. The challenges to sustaining the condominium housing development were affordability, quality of the house, building and neighborhoods, cost variation, low loan return and administration system.
