This study models the influence of family relationships on succession variables, using a sample of 130 participants from 109 family businesses. Results suggest that the effects of family adaptability and family cohesion on succession planning and successor training are determined by the family'S commitment to the business and the quality of the owner-manager and successor relationship. The study finds that the influence of family relationships on administrative behavior in family businesses is not always direct, as was previously assumed, but is mediated by various factors.

Purpose: The aim of this paper is to determine, theoretically and empirically, which strategies are most commonly used to manage conflict situations and to what extent conflict management strategies have an effect on knowledge transfer between owners and successors in family businesses in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This research empirically establishes a link between conflict management strategies and knowledge transfer. Methodology: In addition to theoretical conceptualization, the paper presents quantitative empirical research confirming the validity of the proposed hypothesis. Results: The results of the research show that owners who tend to use the integrating, obliging and compromising conflict management strategies, attach more importance to succession planning and transfer of knowledge and experience to successors. In contrast, dominant leaders are less willing to plan for succession, as they would prefer to retain all the crucial information and decision-making authority and are therefore reluctant to share their knowledge and power. Conclusion: Relevant conflict management strategies can be implemented to help maintain family relationships and ensure business continuity. Learning effective conflict management techniques is important for anyone involved in a family business. Thus, managing conflict is important for the success and longevity of family businesses.

As increasing numbers of family businesses are emerging, the marketplace is in danger of becoming saturated with products that end users do not understand while competition between businesses becomes stiffer. For businesses that operate in a saturated space to access new opportunities, they need to continually invest in the development of new products and services via a process of creativity and innovation. However, in the contemporary business landscape, innovation has extended beyond being a means of gaining a competitive advantage to being a necessity. To achieve this objective, family firms need to develop an understanding of the factors that influence innovation in order to promote, preserve, and boost innovative practices. This research investigated the impact of succession planning on product and service innovation in Yemeni family businesses. Quantitative approach was employed for the purpose of answering the research questions and testing the underlying hypotheses. A survey questionnaire was utilized as the main instrument to gather the required data from the owners of family firms and organizations that the Yemen Tax Authority has classified as top taxpayers. The sample size consisted of 120 family businesses whose headquarters were located in Sana'a City, Republic of Yemen. Only 116 questionnaires were completed with no invalid data, representing a high response rate of 97%. The results show significant relationships between succession planning and its four dimensions; successor selection and training, post-succession business strategy, post-succession role of incumbent, dissemination of the succession decision with product and service innovation. In addition, the results of Regression analysis reveal that succession planning as the whole independent variable has a significant impact on innovation. Furthermore, results show that the four dimensions of succession planning; successor selection and training, post-succession business strategy, post-succession role of incumbent, and dissemination of the succession decision have a significant impact on product and service innovation. These results provide recommendations to the family business owners, at that they should establish strong and vested plans for succession. They should pay attention to the quality of training that is offered to potential successors. Family businesses should build and rely on "family constitution", which is considered as an important document that includes a definition of the basic values, vision, and general objectives of the company.

National statistics across countries suggest that 60% to 70% of all small firms (less than 50 employees) are family-owned. However, family firms can be difficult to define and categorize, as they participate in a myriad of activities and take many forms. Despite this diversity, common patterns and characteristics of working occur amongst family-owned firms. To appreciate family businesses requires an understanding of these unique characteristics and how they develop. The unique characteristics possessed by family businesses include the influence of family relationships, company culture and succession planning. Investigating the scope of family business research conducted is also worthwhile, as there are many gaps in our understanding of how family companies operate.

Computerized auditory training (CAT) is a convenient, low-cost approach to improving communication of individuals with hearing loss or other communicative disorders. A number of CAT programs are being marketed to patients and audiologists. The present literature review is an examination of evidence for the effectiveness of CAT in improving speech perception in adults with hearing impairments. Six current CAT programs, used in 9 published studies, were reviewed. In all 9 studies, some benefit of CAT for speech perception was demonstrated. Although these results are encouraging, the overall quality of available evidence remains low, and many programs currently on the market have not yet been evaluated. Thus, caution is needed when selecting CAT programs for specific patients. It is hoped that future researchers will (a) examine a greater number of CAT programs using more rigorous experimental designs, (b) determine which program features and training regimens are most effective, and (c) indicate which patients may benefit from CAT the most.

Quality outcomes from vocational education and training (VET) are fundamental to ensuring a skilled workforce and supporting a productive economy. The quality of vocational training from the demand’s perspective is defined as meeting the customer specification, needs or requirements. Using the method of Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Multiple Regression Analysis to get the analytical results of 275 respondents as graduates of University of Transport and Communication, University of Transport Technology (the two universities training on transportation in the North of Vietnam), the results show that factors are measured by the observed variables in the study that ensure reliability and relevance. The descriptive statistics result of vocational training quality is 3.28, while all independent variables are at average level (between 3.1 to 3.48) with the highest value related to the quality of the teacher and the lowest are facilities and training programs and management capacity of university. However, the regression results show that the qualification of the teacher, material facilities and training program, management capacity and job opportunities at the training school do not affect the quality of the training while “Learners-NH” have a great positive effect and the labor market information has a negative effect on the training quality of the school significantly. Base on those data, some policy recommendations have been given out in order to improve the training quality of transport technology universities in the north of Vietnam in particular and the vocational training quality of Vietnam in general.
