In the present review article general results concerning problems of contact interaction (contact problems) of pre-stressed bodies with rigid, and elastic punches (facings) are presented. The modern classification of investigations on contact problems for bodies with initial stresses is based on two approaches. The first approach is applicable to bodies with a specific type of elastic potential. The second approach is developed in parallel with the first one. It describes investigations on contact problems for pre-stressed bodies with an arbitrary structure of an elastic potential in a general form for compressible and incompressible materials. In the last case, investigations were carried out in a common form for the theory of large (finite) initial strains and various variants of the theory of small initial strains. The formulation of the problems is given, and methods of solving planar and spatial contact problems for bodies with initial stresses are developed. Procedures of the theory of complex variables and methods of Riemann-Hilbert are used. For planar problems, the authors introduce planar potentials of the linearized static and dynamic problems for elastic compressible and incompressible bodies with initial stresses. In the case of spatial contact problems, various procedures are used: general solutions of spatial static problems for elastic bodies with initial stresses, methods of harmonic potential theory, integral transformations, and integral equations using numerical methods of investigation. The essential numerical results in the form of graphs and tables are presented. These give the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the influence of initial stresses on the main characteristics of contact problems. This review contains 98 references.

For resources in the exploration stage, the modern “Classification of reserves” requires determining the economic efficiency of development prospects. Calculations of the development efficiency are based on the development time, which is difficult to determine without technological projects and schemes due to insufficient initial data. The identification of development stages in the preliminary economic assessment is carried out on the basis of expert appraisals without precise criteria, by analogy with the fields under development. The article establishes empirical dependencies and shows the possibility of their use for express forecast of the period for finishing work on a field (deposit), duration of the main development period, duration of the increasing production stage. Dependencies allow solving the problem of constructing a production curve in conditions of limited geological data. The express method can be used at the macro level to develop strategies for the development of oil and gas regions and at the micro level in the economic assessment of the prospects for the development of objects.

Objective. To present a variant of the modern classification of the processes occurring with lesions of the genitals, to draw specialists’ attention to the peculiarities and variety of causes leading to inflammation of the glans and foreskin, as well as to discuss topical issues of external therapy of balanopostitis.Material and methods. Data from modern studies and clinical guidelines were used in the preparation of the publication.Results. The variety of variants of lesions of the glans and foreskin can be due to a number of reasons and can be either an independent local process or a fragment of dermatosis, where it is possible to be affected in the form of balanoposthitis. Also, when examining and selecting therapy options, it is important to consider the possible role of microorganisms, whose spectrum as a cause of balanoposthitis varies from aerobic and anaerobic, to viral and fungal microflora. Treatment approaches are determined by the etiological factors.Conclusions. Balanoposthitis is a heterogeneous group of nosologies. The choice of treatment is based on the identified cause or empirically when possible. External therapy and hygiene constitute an essential part of treatment. When choosing drugs for topical glucocorticosteroids, preferenceshould be given to drugs with a high therapeutic index and low atrophogenic potential. Dysplastic processes of the penis are associated with human papillomavirus infection, the treatment of which can be both conservative and destructive.

“Ne è passata di acqua sotto i ponti.” It has been a long time since the diagnosis of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) was exclusively based on the detection of typical Reed-Sternberg cells and the recognition of the characteristic morpho-histological background, as well as on the pathologist’s skill. The discovery of immunologic, molecular genetic and virologic biomarkers has provided an objective contribution to the diagnosis and a scientific basis for a modern classification of HL. Recent updates have clarified the nature of the so-called nodular lymphocyte predominant HL and its link to the T-cell/histiocyte-rich large B-cell lymphomas as well as its relationship with the lymphocyte-rich subset of classical HL (CHL). Molecular virology studies assessed a role for the Epstein-Barr virus in the pathogenesis of a fraction of CHL of the general population, and virtually in all cases of CHL occurring in people infected by HIV. Finally, immunologic and genetic findings corroborated the existence of grey zone lymphomas at the edges of CHL. Overall, these advances provided additional and useful information to address the treatment of patients affected by HL.
