The opaque coolant used in the removal machining processes has an inaccessibility problem for the form error in-process optical measurement. The water beam assisted approach should be one of the possible solutions for the problem. In this project, we propose to study the measurement process using the computational approach for better understanding of the process and for validating the models and settings. The experimental results and the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) results are found close to each other. This gives us confidence in using the proposed CFD models and settings. The proposed new transparent window definition is suitable. The models and settings established include geometric model, mesh adaption model, domain settings, coolant concentration representation, expressions, boundary conditions, and CFX solver settings. The developed CFD models and settings will be useful in our further studies of the form error measurement method.

The analysis of a new class of measuring instrument for heat quantities based on the use of multi-valued measures of heat conductivity of solids. For example, measuring thermal conductivity of solids shown the fallacy of the proposed approach and the illegality of the use of the principle of ambiguity to intensive thermal quantities. As a proof of the error of the approach, the relations for the thermal conductivities of the component elements of a heat pump that implements a multi-valued measure of thermal conductivity are given, and the limiting cases are considered. In two ways, it is established that the thermal conductivity of the specified measure does not depend on the value of the supplied heat flow. It is shown that the declared accuracy of the thermal conductivity measurement method does not correspond to the actual achievable accuracy values and the standard for the unit of surface heat flux density GET 172-2016. The estimation of the currently achievable accuracy of measuring the thermal conductivity of solids is given. The directions of further research and possible solutions to the problem are given.

The article discusses the method of solving the task 18 on the Unified State Examination in Informatics (Russian EGE). The main idea of the method is to write the conditions of the problem utilizing the language of formal logic, using elementary predicates. According to the laws of logic the resulting complex logical expression would be transformed into an expression, according to which a geometric model is supposed to be constructed which allows to obtain an answer. The described algorithm does allow high complexity problem to be converted into a simple one.
