ABSTRACT Species of the Aeromonas genus can be found in numerous environmental milieus, including various water sources, and some species cause disease in animals. We present here the draft genome sequence for Aeromonas cavernicola DSM 24474T, a novel species isolated from a freshwater brook within a cavern in the Czech Republic.

ABSTRACT Aeromonas lusitana sp. nov. is an isolate derived from a study aimed at characterizing Aeromonas spp. from water sources used for recreation and agricultural purposes and assessing the implications these organisms have for human and animal health. We present here the 4.52-Mbp draft genome sequence of this novel species.

ABSTRACT Clostridium oryzae was originally isolated from the soil of a Japanese rice field. C. oryzae represents a novel species within the genus Clostridium and is associated with anaerobic rice straw degradation. Here, we present the draft genome sequence of C. oryzae DSM 28571 (5.076 Mbp), containing 4,590 predicted protein-coding genes.

Here, we sequenced Duganella sp. strain DN04, a novel species within the genus Duganella that was isolated from a maize field in North Carolina. The assembled draft genome size is 6,562,230 bp, with a total of 6,039 protein coding sequences and 3,889 functionally assigned genes, including genes putatively involved in the colonization of plants.

ABSTRACT Sinomonas mesophila MPKL 26T can produce silver nanoparticles. Here, we present the 4.0-Mb genome of this type strain, which contains 47 scaffolds with an N 50 scaffold length of 261,266 bp. The availability of the genome sequence will provide a better understanding of strain MPKL 26T and the genus Sinomonas.

During laboratory cultivation of the myxobacterium Archangium violaceum strain Cb vi76, a reoccurring contaminant was isolated and sequenced. Comparative taxonomic analysis of the draft genome suggested the contaminant to be a novel species, currently designated Aneurinibacillus sp. strain BA2021, from the genus Aneurinibacillus , members of which are considered promising biocontrol agents.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Metschnikowia sp. strain JCM 33374, a nectar yeast isolated from a bumblebee (Bombus diversus). The genome of 20.1 Mb is a naturally heterozygous diploid. Phylogenetic analysis with related taxa demonstrated that the strain is very likely a novel species.

ABSTRACT Strain IIIV-5B was isolated from the leaf tissue of the black mangrove, Avicennia germinans. This microorganism belongs to the genus Halococcus. Here, we present the draft genome sequence of strain IIIV-5B, a novel species of this genus. The 3,869,808-bp genome has a G+C content of 63.9% and around 3,812 coding sequences.

ABSTRACT Here, we report the draft genome sequence of the type strain of Acinetobacter dijkshoorniae, a novel human pathogen within the Acinetobacter calcoaceticus–Acinetobacter baumannii (ACB) complex. Strain JVAP01T has an estimated genome size of 3.9 Mb, exhibits a 38.8% G+C content, and carries a plasmid with the bla NDM-1 carbapenemase gene.
