Here, the complete genome sequence of sponge-associated Tenacibaculum mesophilum DSM 13764T is presented. T. mesophilum is a close relative of the fish pathogen T. maritimum, which causes significant fish disease outbreaks in aquaculture facilities. The T. mesophilum genome sequence will serve as an important resource for comparative genomics approaches.

ABSTRACT Here, we report the complete 5.3-Mb genome sequence of Xanthomonas campestris pv. viticola (CCRMXCV 80), which causes grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) bacterial canker. Genome data will improve our understanding of the strain’s comparative genomics and epidemiology, and help to further define plant protection and quarantine procedures.

Deinococcus grandis is a radioresistant bacterial species isolated from freshwater fish. In this article, we report the complete genome sequence of D. grandis strain ATCC 43672. This sequence is useful for comparative genomics to understand the traits of Deinococcus species and can be used as a reference in experimental genetics.

ABSTRACT Spiroplasma sp. TU-14 was isolated from a contaminated sample of Entomoplasma lucivorax PIPN-2T obtained from the International Organization for Mycoplasmology collection. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of this bacterium to facilitate the investigation of its biology and the comparative genomics among Spiroplasma spp.

ABSTRACT Spiroplasma monobiae MQ-1T (ATCC 33825) was isolated from the hemolymph of an adult vespid wasp (Monobia quadridens) collected in Maryland. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of this bacterium to facilitate the investigation of its biology and the comparative genomics among Spiroplasma species.

ABSTRACT Spiroplasma corruscae EC-1T (DSM 19793) was isolated from the gut of a lampryid beetle (Ellychnia corrusca) collected in Beltsville, MD, USA, in 1983. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of this bacterium to facilitate the investigation of its biology and the comparative genomics among Spiroplasma species.

Here, we present the complete genome sequence of the Wolbachia endosymbiont wAna, isolated from Drosophila ananassae and derived from Oxford Nanopore and Illumina sequencing. We anticipate that this will aid in Wolbachia comparative genomics and the assembly of D. ananassae specifically in regions containing extensive lateral gene transfer events.

Malassezia restricta, one of the predominant basidiomycetous yeasts present on human skin, is involved in scalp disorders. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of the lipophilic Malassezia restricta CBS 7877 strain, which will facilitate the study of the mechanisms underlying its commensal and pathogenic roles within the skin microbiome.

Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is an emerging opportunistic human pathogen. In this report, we describe the isolation and genomic annotation of the S. maltophilia-infecting bacteriophage Mendera. A myophage of 159,961 base pairs, Mendera is T4-like and related most closely to Stenotrophomonas phage IME-SM1.
