The previously silent GII.17 norovirus was found to be the predominant genotype causing major epidemics in China in the 2014–2015 winter epidemic season. We report here the complete genomic sequence of a GII.17 norovirus (mky/GII.17/KM1509/CHN/2015) that infected rhesus monkeys at a monkey farm in southwestern China.

We present the complete genomic sequence of a Potato virus T (PVT) isolate originally obtained from a Bolivian potato sample collected in 1976, and we compare it with the genome of the PVT type isolate from Peru. There is an 81% nucleotide identity between the two genomes of this Andean potato virus.

ABSTRACT While data are limited, there is increasing evidence that infections by dengue viruses are endemic in Haiti. In 2014, an outbreak caused by dengue virus 4 (DENV-4) followed a chikungunya fever outbreak. We present here the complete genome sequence of one isolate grouped within the genotype II South America and Caribbean DENV-4 clades.

A complete genomic sequence of porcine parvovirus 2 (PPV-2) was detected by viral metagenome analysis on swine sera. A phylogenetic analysis of this genome reveals that it is highly similar to previously reported North American PPV-2 genomes. The complete PPV-2 sequence is 5,426 nucleotides long.

ABSTRACT Vibrio gazogenes ATCC 43942 has the potential to synthesize a plethora of metabolites which are of clinical and agricultural significance in response to environmental triggers. The complete genomic sequence of Vibrio gazogenes ATCC 43942 is reported herein, contributing to the knowledge base of strains in the Vibrio genus.

ABSTRACT We present here the first complete genomic sequence of Arracacha virus A from a Peruvian arracacha sample collected in 1975 and compare it with the genomes of other nepoviruses. Its RNA1 and RNA2 both had greatest amino acid identities with those of the subgroup A nepovirus Melon mild mottle virus.

We identified a strain of betacoronavirus BtKY72/Rhinolophus sp./Kenya/2007 (here BtKY72) from rectal swab samples in Kenyan bats. This paper reports the complete genomic sequence of BtKY72, which is closely related to BtCoV/BM48-31/Bulgaria/2008, a severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)-related virus from Rhinolophus bats in Europe.

We report here the complete genomic sequence of Polish alphabaculovirus isolated from dead gypsy moth caterpillars. Its genome structure and G+C content indicate that it is a Lymantria dispar multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus (LdMNPV) strain which possesses the shortest sequence among eight other (similar to reference sequence AF081810) LdMNPV sequences available in GenBank; it is 159,729 bp long.

ABSTRACT The complete genome of Pseudoalteromonas sp. strain SAO4-4, a protease-producing bacterium from seawater, is composed of two circular chromosomes and one plasmid. This genome sequence will provide a better understanding of the ecological roles of protease-producing bacteria in the degradation of organic matter in marine aquatic environments.

We present here the complete genomic sequence of a rifampin-resistant derivative of theEscherichia coliK-12 laboratory strain ER1821, engineered to be deficient in all known restriction systems, making it suitable for generating unbiased libraries from organisms with non-K-12 methylation patterns. The ER1821R genome is most closely related to that of DH1, another popular cloning strain (both derived from MM294), but is deleted for thee14prophage (McrA-) and the immigration control (McrBC-EcoKI R-M-Mrr-) loci.
