ABSTRACT Here, we announce the complete genome sequence of the Francisella halioticida type strain DSM 23729 (FSC1005), isolated from a diseased cultured giant abalone in Japan in 2005. The genome is composed of a 2,197,430-bp-long circular chromosome, with a G+C content of 31.2%.

We isolated Pseudomonas otitidis strain MrB4 from the near-shore area of Lake Biwa in Japan and generated its complete genome sequence. MrB4 possesses a single circular chromosome of 6,089,454 bp, with ∼97% average nucleotide identity to the P. otitidis type strain MCC10330 (draft genome).

Sporomusa termitida type strain DSM 4440 was isolated from the intestinal content of the termite Nasutitermes nigriceps. The genome consists of one circular chromosome (5,185,220 bp) and a megaplasmid (131,121 bp) with an overall G+C content of 49.11%. It harbors 4,764 predicted protein-encoding genes.

ABSTRACT Vibrio vulnificus has the highest death rate and economic burden per case of any foodborne pathogen in the United States. A complete genome sequence of the type strain promotes comparative analyses with other clinical and environmental isolates, improving our understanding of this important human pathogen and successful environmental organism.

Lactobacillus brevis strain 100D8 was isolated from rye silage and showed rapid acidification ability in vitro and antifungal activity against mycotoxin-producing fungi. We report here the complete genome sequence of L. brevis strain 100D8, which has a circular chromosome (2,351,988 bp, 2,304 coding sequences [CDSs]) and three plasmids (45,061 bp, 57 CDSs; 40,740 bp, 40 CDSs; and 39,943 bp, 57 CDSs).

Arcobacter skirrowii is a species of veterinary importance, originally recovered from the feces, aborted fetuses, and preputial fluids of livestock. We present here the whole-genome sequence of the A. skirrowii type strain LMG 6621 (= 449/80T = CCUG 10374T), isolated in the United Kingdom from a lamb diarrheal fecal sample.
