ABSTRACTPseudomonas stutzeriAN10 (CCUG 29243) can be considered a model strain for aerobic naphthalene degradation. We report the complete genome sequence of this bacterium. Its 4.71-Mb chromosome provides insights into other biodegradative capabilities of strain AN10 (i.e., benzoate catabolism) and suggests a high number of horizontal gene transfer events.

Here, we report the first complete genome sequence of the potential deoxynivalenol-degrading strain Youhaiella tibetensis F4T (China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center [CGMCC] 1.12719T). To the best of our knowledge, this is also the first announcement of the complete genome sequence of a Youhaiella species.

Alcaligenes aquatilis strain QD168 (= CCUG 69566) is a marine hydrocarbon-degrading bacterium isolated from crude oil-polluted sediment from Quintero Bay, Central Chile. Here, we present the 4.32-Mb complete genome sequence of strain QD168, with 3,892 coding sequences, 58 tRNAs, and a 56.3% G+C content.

Rhodococcus erythropolis X5 is a psychrotrophic (cold-adapted) hydrocarbon-degrading bacterium, as it showed effective n-alkane destruction at low positive temperatures. Here, the genome of strain X5 was completely sequenced; it consists of a 6,472,161-bp circular chromosome (62.25% GC content) and a 526,979-bp linear plasmid, pRhX5-526k (62.37% GC content).

ABSTRACT Pseudomonas putida KF715 (NBRC 110667) utilizes biphenyl as a sole source of carbon and degrades polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Here, we report a complete genome sequence of the KF715 strain, which comprises a circular chromosome and four plasmids. Biphenyl catabolic genes were located on the largest plasmid, pKF715A.

The complete genome sequence of a bipartite begomovirus found in a Sida sp. plant growing in Bradenton, FL, was determined. The virus is a new strain of Sida golden mosaic Buckup virus (family Geminiviridae, genus Begomovirus). This is the first report of this virus in the United States and the first report outside Jamaica.
