We present the high-quality draft genome sequence of Bacillus subtilis SB-14, isolated from the Namibian social spider Stegodyphus dumicola. In accordance with its antimicrobial activity, both known and potentially novel antimicrobial biosynthetic gene clusters were identified in the genome of SB-14.

Here, we report the 5.2-Mb genome sequence of a bioflocculant-producing bacterial strain, Citrobacter freundii IFO 13545, which consists of 5,209,670 bp with a G+C content of 51.5% and 4,853 predicted coding sequences (CDSs). The genes related to the biosynthetic pathway of the bioflocculant were localized on the genome map.

Kroppenstedtia sanguinis X0209T, a thermoactinomycete, was isolated from the blood of a patient in Sweden. We report on the draft genome sequence obtained with an Illumina MiSeq instrument. The assembled genome totaled 3.73 Mb and encoded 3,583 proteins. Putative genes for virulence, transposons, and biosynthetic gene clusters have been identified.

ABSTRACT Recently, we found that Streptomyces olivochromogenes NBRC 3561 produced a bioactive peptide, so we sequenced its genome to clarify its biosynthesis. We report here the draft genome sequence of S. olivochromogenes NBRC 3561, in which 40 potential secondary metabolite gene clusters were predicted by antiSMASH.

ABSTRACT Microcystis aeruginosa is one of the major species that cause toxic cyanobacterial blooms in freshwater systems worldwide. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of M. aeruginosa PMC 728.11, a microcystin-producing cyanobacterium isolated from the freshwater reservoir of Juanon in Valence, France. The genome sequence contains 276 contigs, consisting of 5,536,025 bp and 5,594 putative protein-coding genes, among which are several biosynthetic gene clusters encoding enzyme complexes involved in the production of various bioactive and toxic metabolites.
