ABSTRACT Aminobacter carboxidus is a soil Gram-negative alphaproteobacterium belonging to the physiological group of carboxydobacteria which aerobically oxidize CO to CO2. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of the A. carboxidus DSM 1086 type strain and the identification of both form I and form II CO dehydrogenase systems in this strain.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Pseudorhodobacter sp. strain E13, a Gram-negative, aerobic, nonflagellated, and rod-shaped bacterium which was isolated from the Yellow Sea in South Korea. Chitinimonas spp. are Gram-negative bacilli that are observed in freshwater and soil sources. A number of Chitinimonas species have been characterized, including the green-pigmented Chitinimonas viridis. The isolate described here, BJB300, was obtained from a freshwater source in the Hudson Valley, NY. BJB300 is the first Chitinimonas isolate expressing violacein, a pigment with biotherapeutic potential.

ABSTRACT We report an improved de novo draft genome sequence of the human-pathogenic strain Nocardia terpenica IFM 0706T. The resequencing unveiled that the genome size is larger than anticipated, reducing significantly the number of contigs and building a basis for comparison with the closely related strain N. terpenica IFM 0406.

We report here a draft genome sequence of an ex-type strain of Aspergillus neoellipticus, NRRL 5109, which was isolated from pus of a case of chronic emphysema. The final assembly consists of 160 scaffolds totaling 27.55 Mbp (G+C content, 49.96%) and 8,858 predicted genes.
