Issues relating to light waves interference are considered in the paper. The possibility of registration of the interference pattern formed by two different light sources is discussed. Relations describing interference fringe contrast are given. Shot review of the lab work implemented at Physical Optics Laboratory of Novosibirsk State University and demonstrated the possibility is cited. The paper is usable both with relation to methodology of presentation of educational material and in respect to utilization of optical interferometry techniques in physical experiments
