A revised classification and nomenclature is proposed for some molds which produce hyaline, single-celled aleuriospores. Chrysosporium Corda is revived as a suitable genus for fungi which have been referred to Aleurisma Auct. non Link. Blastomyces, Emmonsia, Geomyces, Gilchristia, Glenosporella, Myceliophthora, and Zymonema are placed in synonymy under Chrysosporium. The typification and status of the following genera is discussed: Acladium, Aleurisma, Allescheriella, Bactridiopsis, Balanium, Blastomycoides, Botryotrichum, Chlamydomyces, Coccospora, Glenospora, Glenosporopsis, Histoplasma, Humicola, Mammaria, Monosporium, Monotospora, Myceliophthora, Mycogone, Oidium, Paracoccidioides, Rhinocladium, Scedosporium, Sepedonium, Sporothrix, Sporotrichum, Stephanoma, and Trichophyton.Chrysosporium asperatum and C. tropicum are proposed as new species. Six new combinations and one new name are proposed in Chrysosporium. One new combination is proposed in Paecilomyces. A key to the species of Chrysosporium is included as well as descriptions and illustrations of the species.

The species of Parmotrema with salazinic acid were revised, based on the types of the accepted names, as well as their synonyms. Descriptions for 66 species are given and the synonymy, chemistry, distribution and taxonomic affinities of each species discussed. Three new species are described: Parmotrema austromaculatum sp. nov., P. bifidum sp. nov. and P. clercianum sp. nov. One new combination in Parmelinella is made, P. afrocetrata comb. nov., as well as 13 new combinations in Parmotrema: P. acanthifolium comb. nov., P. concors comb. nov., P. foliolosum comb. nov., P. granulare comb. nov., P. lividotessellatum comb. nov., P. magnum comb. nov., P. maximum comb. nov., P. nudum comb. nov., P. petropoliense comb. nov., P. radiatum comb. nov., P. reterimulosum comb. nov., P. sieberi comb. nov. and P. warmingii comb. nov. One new name, Parmotrema elixii nom. nov. is proposed for Rimelia pustulata. Two lectotypifications are made: Parmotrema erubescens and P. ruminatum. Twelve taxa remain without definite status and are included in the nomina inquirenda.

The genus Paraboea Ridl. (Gesneriaceae) is revised. It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, Cambodia, southern China, India (Assam), Indonesia (Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Sulawesi), Laos, Malaysia (Peninsular and Borneo), Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, mostly from limestone habitats. Eighty-nine species and five varieties are recognised. Four new species and one new variety are described: Paraboea apiensis Z.R.Xu, Paraboea argentea Z.R.Xu, Paraboea graniticola Z.R.Xu, Paraboea paraprimuloides Z.R.Xu and Paraboea harroviana var. ovata Z.R.Xu. In addition two taxa are highlighted as possible new species but are not described here due to insufficient material. The treatment includes one new combination for a species, Paraboea harroviana (Craib) Z.R.Xu, one new combination for a variety, Paraboea schefferi var. ambigua (C.B.Clarke) Z.R.Xu, one new status for a variety, Paraboea rufescens var. tomentosa (Barnett) Z.R.Xu, and one new name, Paraboea primuloides Z.R.Xu. Fifty-one line drawings are included. A key is presented and all taxa are described. Preliminary conservation assessments are given.

This paper deals with the taxonomy of Chinese Medaurini with descriptions of two new genera, 14 new species and two new subspecies, proposal of two new combinations and report of two new records for China. A total of seven genera and 42 species are recognised in the tribe. Ten new species and two new subspecies from four recognised genera including Cnipsomorpha Hennemann, Conle, Zhang & Liu, 2008, Interphasma Chen & He, 2008, Medauroidea Zompro, 2000 and Parapachymorpha Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1893 are described. They are Cnipsomorpha bii sp. nov., C. daliensis sp. nov., C. maoershanensis sp. nov., C. wenxuani sp. nov., Interphasma elongatum elongatum sp. nov. & subsp. nov., I. elongatum parvum subsp. nov., I. huanglianshanense sp. nov., Medauroidea chenshuchuni sp. nov., Parapachymorpha dentata sp. nov., P. jinpingensis sp. nov. and P. sinica sp. nov. Two new genera, Neointerphasma gen. nov. and Neosinophasma gen. nov., are established. The former only includes Neointerphasma minutigranulatum sp. nov. The latter includes four species, N. biangulatum (Chen & Zhang, 2008) comb. nov. [transferred from Cnipsomorpha], N. tangliangi sp. nov., N. wenxuani sp. nov. and N. yunnanense sp. nov. A new combination is also suggested for Medauroidea nyalamensis (Chen, Shang & Pei, 2000) comb. nov. transferred from Ramulus Saussure, 1862. Parapachymorpha spiniger (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1907) and Medauromorpha foedata (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1907) are new records for China. Taxonomic keys are given to Cnipsomorpha, Interphasma, Medauroidea, Medauromorpha, Neosinophasma gen. nov. and Parapachymorpha.

The genus Limonius Eschscholtz, 1829 was last treated as a whole by Candèze (1860). Since then, members have been placed in eight other genera: Cidnopus Thomson, 1859; Gambrinus LeConte, 1853; Elathous Reitter, 1890; Kibunea Kishii, 1966; Limoniscus Reitter, 1905; Nothodes LeConte, 1861; Pheletes Kiesenwetter, 1858; and Solskyana Dolin, 1978. Based on the examination of adult and larval characters, five genera are recognized: Elathous Reitter, 1890; Gambrinus LeConte, 1853; Limonius Eschscholtz, 1829; Pheletes Kiesenwetter, 1858; and Tetralimonius new genus. Limoniscus Reitter, 1905 and Sichuanelater Platia and Gudenzi, 2006 are new synonymies of Gambrinus LeConte, 1853; Micrathous Lane, 1971, Neoathousius Schimmel and Platia, 1991 and Solskyana Dolin, 1978 are all new synonymies of Limonius. Abstract The phylogeny and systematics of cordycipitoid fungi have been extensively studied in the last two decades. However, systematic positions of some taxa in the family Cordycipitaceae have not yet been thoroughly resolved. In this study, a new phylogenetic framework of Cordycipitaceae is reconstructed using multigene (nrSSU, nrLSU, tef-1α, rpb1 and rpb2) sequence data with large-scale taxon sampling. In addition, ITS sequence data of species belonging to the Lecanicillium lineage in the family Cordycipitaceae are used to further determine their phylogenetic placements. Based on molecular phylogenetic data together with morphological evidence, two new genera (Flavocillium and Liangia), 16 new species and four new combinations are introduced. In the new genus Flavocillium, one new species F. bifurcatum and three new combinations previously described as Lecanicillium, namely F. acerosium, F. primulinium and F. subprimulinium, are proposed. The genus Liangia is built by the new species Lia. sinensis with Lecanicillium-like asexual morph, isolated from an entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria yunnanensis. Due to the absence of Paecilomyces hepiali, an economically and medically significant fungus, in the earlier phylogenetic analyses, its systematic position has been puzzling in both business and academic communities for a long time. Here, P. hepiali is recharacterized using the holotype material along with seven additional samples. It is assigned to the genus Samsoniella (Cordycipitaceae, Hypocreales) possessing Cordyceps-like sexual morph and Isaria-like asexual morph, and thus a new combination, namely S. hepiali is proposed. An additional nine new species in Samsoniella are described: S. alpina, S. antleroides, S. cardinalis, S. cristata, S. lanmaoa, S. kunmingensis, S. ramosa, S. tortricidae and S. yunnanensis. Four new species in Cordyceps are described: C. chaetoclavata, C. cocoonihabita, C. shuifuensis and C. subtenuipes. Simplicillium yunnanense, isolated from synnemata of Akanthomyces waltergamsii, is described as a new species.

Ptychocroca, new genus, is described and illustrated. As presently defined, the genus includes eight species: P. apenicillia, new species, from Chile; P. nigropenicillia, new species, from Chile; P. lineabasalis, new species, from Chile; P. keelioides, new species, from Chile; P. simplex, new species, from Chile; P. crocoptycha (Meyrick), new combination, from Argentina and Chile; P. wilkinsoni (Butler), new combination, from Chile; and P. galenia (Razowski), new combination, from Chile. We present brief diagnoses for the related genera Apotomops Powell and Obraztsov, Bonagota Razowski, Haemateulia Razowski, and Acmanthina Brown, along with descriptions of two new species of Apotomops (A. boliviana and A. spomotopa, new species). We also propose two new combinations, Apotomops carchicola (Razowski and Becker) and A. sololana (Razowski), and the synonymy of Bonagota cranaodes (Meyrick) with B. salubricola (Meyrick).

The misapplication of the name Tectaria griffithii is corrected, which results in the revival of T. multicaudata and the proposal of a new combination (T. multicaudata var. amplissima) and two new synonyms (T. yunnanensis and T. multicaudata var. singaporeana). For the reduction of Psomiocarpa and Tectaridium (previously monotypic genera) into Tectaria, T. macleanii (new combination) and T. psomiocarpa (new name) are proposed as new combinations. In addition, the new name Tectaria subvariolosa is put forward to replace a later homonym (T. stenosemioides).
