The genus Paraboea Ridl. (Gesneriaceae) is revised. It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, Cambodia, southern China, India (Assam), Indonesia (Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Sulawesi), Laos, Malaysia (Peninsular and Borneo), Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, mostly from limestone habitats. Eighty-nine species and five varieties are recognised. Four new species and one new variety are described: Paraboea apiensis Z.R.Xu, Paraboea argentea Z.R.Xu, Paraboea graniticola Z.R.Xu, Paraboea paraprimuloides Z.R.Xu and Paraboea harroviana var. ovata Z.R.Xu. In addition two taxa are highlighted as possible new species but are not described here due to insufficient material. The treatment includes one new combination for a species, Paraboea harroviana (Craib) Z.R.Xu, one new combination for a variety, Paraboea schefferi var. ambigua (C.B.Clarke) Z.R.Xu, one new status for a variety, Paraboea rufescens var. tomentosa (Barnett) Z.R.Xu, and one new name, Paraboea primuloides Z.R.Xu. Fifty-one line drawings are included. A key is presented and all taxa are described. Preliminary conservation assessments are given.

Abstract Five new species of Rubiaceae from Brazil, Psychotria isanae Kirkb., Palicourea veterinariorum Kirkb., Perama carajensis Kirkb., Borreria reflexa Kirkb. and Sipaneopsis cururuensis Kirkb., five new species of Rubiaceae from Colombia, Rudgea bracteata Kirkb., Psychotria gonzalagunioides Kirkb., Palicourea denslowiae Kirkb., Palicourea thermydri Kirkb. and Gonzalagunia congesta Kirkb., and one new variety of Rubiaceae from Colombia. Gonzalagunia discolor Standi, var. danielis Kirkb., are described. One new combination is made, Psychotria cotejensis (Standl.) Kirkb., and one new name established, Psychotria aviculoides Kirkb.

SummarySix new species of Coffea are described as new to science: Coffea callmanderi, C. darainensis, C. kalobinonensis, C. microdubardii, C. pustulata and C. rupicola. All six species are endemic to northern Madagascar; four species are narrowly endemic to specific forest areas. Associated information, including distribution maps, conservation assessments, phenology and taxonomic notes are provided, and two species are illustrated with line drawings.

Six new species of the spider genus Tonsilla Wang & Yin, 1992 are described from southern China: T. jinyunensis sp. nov. (♂♀) from Chongqing, T. jiugongensis sp. nov. (♂♀) from Hubei, T. subtruculenta sp. nov. (♂♀), T. rutunda sp. nov. (♂♀) and T. yueliangensis sp. nov. (♂) from Guizhou and T. subrostrum sp. nov. (♂♀) from Hunan. In addition, T. yanlingensis (Zhang, Yin & Kim, 2000) is redescribed and its male is described here for the first time. Tonsilla subyanlingensis Liu & Xu, 2020 is transferred to Draconarius Ovtchinnikov, 1999, hence the new combination Draconarius subyanlingensis (Liu & Xu, 2020) comb. nov. is established. The female of T. subyanlingensis Liu & Xu, 2020 should be treated as T. yanlingensis (Zhang, Yin & Kim, 2000). Detailed descriptions, photographs of copulatory organs and somatic features, a distribution map and comparisons with closely related species are presented.

Three new species of Russulasection Ingratae, found in Guizhou and Jiangsu Provinces, southern China, are proposed: R. straminella, R. subpectinatoides and R. succinea. Photographs, line drawings and detailed morphological descriptions for these species are provided with comparisons against closely-related taxa. Phylogenetic analysis of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region supported the recognition of these specimens as new species. Additionally, R. indocatillus is reported for the first time from China and morphological and phylogenetic data are provided for the Chinese specimens.

Abstract—Seven new species of the neotropical genus Microlicia are proposed (Microlicia capitata, M. coriacea, M. mutabilis, M. piranii, M. polychaeta, M. repanda, and M. sparsifolia). All seven species are known only from the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, mainly in the Diamantina Plateau and/or the Serra do Cabral. Diagnoses, line drawings, distribution maps, notes on diagnostic characters, conservation assessments, and habitat and phenology are provided.

Various problems and issues in the Acanthaceae of Bhutan and the Himalaya are considered. The typification of Thunbergia grandiflora is discussed, and T. lacei and T. clarkei are reduced to synonomy. A new species of Eranthemum, E. erylhrochilum, is described, and the characters which separate it from its allies are listed. A new combination, P. gomezii, is made in Phlogacanthus. The genus Echinacanthus is reviewed and redefined. One group of species placed in it is moved to a new genus, Clarkeasia. which contains one species with two recognized varieties. The Chinese species, Strobilanthes lofuensis, is moved to Echinacanthus pending a thorough review of the three Chinese species in the genus. A wide-ranging discussion of Strobilanthes is presented, and Bremekamp's division of the genus into some fifty segregate genera is criticized and rejected. Various characters used in dividing the genus including life form (with particular attention to the gregarious flowering of the many plietesial species), anisophylly, inflorescence type, calyx development, corolla shape, pollen and seeds are discussed and reassessed. Although pollen is of minor value in subdividing the genus in the Himalayan region, it is possible to recognize 17 distinct groups of species at infrageneric level. These groups are described and discussed with the hope that they will help towards the reclassification of the Strobilanthes group as a whole. Keys are provided for most groups covering species from outside the Himalayan region as well. Thirty-five individual species of Strobilanthes are discussed, of which 17 are described as new. SEM photographs and line drawings illustrate the new species and various aspects of the genus discussed in the paper.

A revision of the genus Beilschmiedia (Lauraceae) from Thailand and Indochina is presented with a summary of its taxonomic history, plus keys, full descriptions of each species, distribution maps, conservation assessments, ecological information, ethno-botanical notes and a discussion of its morphology. In this treatment, 21 species are recognized; 14 names are lectotypified (B. argentata, B. balansae, B. balansae var. muticarpa, B. clarkei, B. elegantissima, B. ferruginea, B. globularia, B. glomerata var. tonkinensis, B. lucidula, B. obovalifoliosa, B. palembanica, B. poilanei, B. sphaerocarpa and B. wightii), five names are placed into synonymy for the first time, and B. laotica Kosterm. ex de Kok is validly published here for the first time. In addition, one new variety (B. percoriacea var. percoriacea de Kok) is proposed and one new combination (B. percoriacea var. glaucoides de Kok) is made. Nine species are considered to be Least Concern, one is Critically Endangered, five are Endangered, and five are listed as Vulnerable.

Hemacroneuria violacea Enderlein, 1909 is discovered and re-described from four provinces of southern China. A similar new species of Hemacroneuria from the Nanling Mountains is proposed. Meanwhile, Brahmana flavomarginata Wu, 1962 is transferred into Hemacroneuria, and the status of Kiotina spatulata Wu, 1948 is discussed in this paper.

This paper reviews the taxonomic research on the superfamily Eriophyoidea in China, with an updated checklist of 932 species belonging to 3 families, 10 subfamilies, 15 tribes and 187 genera, including a new name and a new combination: Cosella yangmingshanis nom. nov. and Aceria celtis (Huang, 2001) comb. nov., respectively.  Hai-Yuan Kuang and his co-authors described 244 new species, Xiao-Yue Hong and his co-authors described 232 new species, Sui-Gai Wei and his co-authors described 122 new species, Jie-Liu Xin and his colleagues added 13 new species, Kun-Wei Huang and his colleagues described 229 new species from Taiwan, Tsan Huang, and his co-authors added 10 new species from Taiwan. Reports on the biology and control of the Eriophyoidea are relatively few in China, and these are briefly reviewed.
