Effective control of enteric redmouth disease was obtained during artificial infection of rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri) and in natural outbreaks in rainbow trout and chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) with a potentiated sulfonamide, Ro5-O037, a combination of five parts sulfadimethoxine and one part ormetoprim.
