AbstractRecently BESIII collaboration discovered a charged strange hidden-charm state $$Z_{cs}$$ Z cs (3985) in the $$D_s^-D^{*0} + D_s^{*-}D^{0}$$ D s - D ∗ 0 + D s ∗ - D 0 spectrum. A higher $$Z'_{cs}$$ Z cs ′ state coupling to $${\bar{D}}_s^{*-}D^{*0}$$ D ¯ s ∗ - D ∗ 0 is expected by SU(3)-flavor symmetry, and their bottom partners are anticipated by heavy quark flavor symmetry. Here we study the photoproduction of these exotic states and investigate carefully the background from Pomeron exchange. Our results indicate that the maximal photoproduction cross section of strange partner is around 1–2 orders of magnitude smaller than that of the corresponding non-strange states. The possibility of searching for them in future electron-ion colliders (EIC) is briefly discussed.

A detailed numerical study of radiative corrections in the low Q2 region at the HERA ep collider was performed. The specific case of the total photoproduction cross section measurement was taken as an example. Two different programs, TERAD91 and HER-ACLES4.2, were used to get an estimate of the size of radiative effects. It was found that radiative corrections can be quite large at some points of the space of leptonic (x, y) variables. However, after imposing experimentally feasible cuts on the radiated photon and the hadronic final state one gets corrections at the level of a few per cent.

AbstractThe inclusive hadroproduction of two heavy quarks, featuring a large separation in rapidity, is proposed as a novel probe channel of the Balitsky–Fadin–Kuraev–Lipatov (BFKL) approach. In a theoretical setup which includes full resummation of leading logarithms in the center-of-mass energy and partial resummation of the next-to-leading ones, predictions for the cross section and azimuthal coefficients are presented for kinematic configurations typical of current and possible future experimental analyses at the LHC.

Heavy quark spectroscopy and exotic states are studied with the ATLAS detector, mainly through final states containing muon pairs from J/ψ decays. This proceedings will summarise recent results from ATLAS on these topics, including production of quarkonium and heavy flavour, searches for exotic states and measurements of decay properties in open beauty production.
