For the general fifth-order shallow water wave models, we perform computerized symbolic computation to obtain two auto-Bäcklund transformations and four families of the bell-shaped solitonic solutions, which are exact analytic.

We perform a computerized symbolic computation to find some general solitonic solutions for the general fifth-order shal-low water-wave models. Applying the tanh-typed method, we have found certain new exact solitary wave solutions. The pre-viously published solutions turn out to be special cases with restricted model parameters.

We find new analytic solitary-wave solutions, having a nonzero background at infinity, of the general fifth-order shallow water wave models using the hyperbolic function ansatz method. We study the dynamical properties of the solutions in the combined form of a bright and a dark solitary-wave by using numerical simulations. It is shown that the solitary-waves can be stable or marginally stable, depending on the coefficients of the model. We study the interaction dynamics by using the combined solitary-waves as the initial profiles to show the formation of sech2-type solitary-waves in the presence of a strong nonlinear dispersion term. - PACS: 03.40.Kf, 02.30.Jr, 47.20.Ky, 52.35.Mw

In this paper, a generalized (3[Formula: see text]+[Formula: see text]1)-dimensional B-type Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (gBKP) equation is investigated by using the Hirota’s bilinear method. With the aid of symbolic computation, some new lump, mixed lump kink and periodic lump solutions are derived. Based on the derived solutions, some novel interaction phenomena like the fission and fusion interactions between one lump soliton and one kink soliton, the fission and fusion interactions between one lump soliton and a pair of kink solitons and the interactions between two periodic lump solitons are discussed graphically. Results might be helpful for understanding the propagation of the shallow water wave.

For three two-component shallow water wave models, from the approach of dynamical systems and the singular traveling wave theory developed in [Li & Chen, 2007], under different parameter conditions, all possible bounded solutions (solitary wave solutions, pseudo-peakons, periodic peakons, as well as smooth periodic wave solutions) are derived. More than 19 explicit exact parametric representations are obtained. Of more interest is that, for the integrable two-component generalization of the Camassa–Holm equation, it is found that its [Formula: see text]-traveling wave system has a family of pseudo-peakon wave solutions. In addition, its [Formula: see text]-traveling wave system has two families of uncountably infinitely many solitary wave solutions. The new results complete a recent study by Dutykh and Ionescu-Kruse [2016].
