DOUBLE DIFFRACTION DISSOCIATION IN $\bar pp$ COLLISIONS AT THE FERMILAB TEVATRON

We present results from a study of double diffraction dissociation in [Formula: see text] collisions at the Fermilab Tevatron performed by the CDF Collaboration. The production cross section for events with a central pseudorapidity gap (overlapping η = 0) of width Δη0 > 3 is found to be [Formula: see text] at [Formula: see text]. Our results are compared with previous measurements and with predictions based on Regge theory and factorization.
